2. Process
• First I found images of the characters
separately and separated them from their
backgrounds using the polygonal lasso tool.
• I then found a good background and
positioned the characters so that you can
see all three of them. I also wanted them to
be in a position that made it look like they
were all ready to fight people so that it
seems more exciting and action based.
• I then added the game logo so that people
could clearly see what game was being
advertised. It originally had a black
background but I removed it using the magic
wand tool.
3. Process
• I then went on to add text to the cover
starting with the magazine title once I had I
title I like and I thought stood out enough I
moved the layer of the main character in
front of the title to make him stand out
much more.
• I then added more text to fill space and
advertise more games and more of what is
in the magazine.
• I kept the theme of using white and green in
the writing.
• I then added an issue number and a
barcode.
4. Process
• To start my double page spread I set up an
A3 document and rotated it to be landscape.
• I then imported picture I had saved from
online and used the polygonal lasso tool to
remove the backgrounds.
• I then repositioned them to match my
layout plans.
5. Process
• I first drafted my article on word and then
copied and pasted it into a text box.
• I used the shape tool and changed it to mark
a path to add text and avoid the images and
title.
• I then made some of the quotes bold so that
they stood out more.
• I then added a page number.
