LSC MEN’S BASKETBALL
Texas A&M-Commerce is the lone undefeated team in Lone Star Conference action at 7-0. West Texas A&M and UT
Permian Basin are just behind them at 6-1 in league games.
The Lions and Buffs meet on Saturday, January 20, in Canyon, Texas. The game will be streamed on WatchESPN and
the ESPN App as part of the Division II Basketball Showcase.
LSC play continues this week with action on Tuesday, Thursday and Saturday.
The LSC men have a 96-67 overall record so far this season. In the NCAA South Central Region, the men’s teams are
currently 20-14 combined versus Heartland Conference teams and 16-6 against the Rocky Mountain Athletic
Conference.

PLAYERS OF THE WEEK
OFFENSIVE
Trey Conrod, Texas A&M University-Commerce, JR, Forward, Kilgore, Texas, Kilgore HS
Conrod was a perfect 9-for-9 from the field against Tarleton State in the No. 12 Lions' 82-70 win on Tuesday. He buried
both of his three point attempts and was also perfect from the free throw line, scoring 22 points to lead the team. He
was also active on the defensive end, nabbing two steals and a block. Conrod did it all in just 18 minutes on the floor for
the Lions. He also had a plus-minus rating of plus-20, the best of any player in the game.
DEFENSIVE
Ryan Quaid, West Texas A&M University, JR, Guard, Fort Collins, Colo., Fossil Ridge HS
Quaid posted two more double-doubles for 10 on the year in a pair of key road wins at Angelo State and at Texas A&M-
Kingsville running the Buffs' winning streak to eight games. Quaid posted a career-high 21 rebounds in a thrilling 81-77
win at Angelo State on Thursday as he scored 21 points in the contest. He followed that with 10 rebounds and 14 points
with two blocks against Texas A&M-Kingsville on Saturday. Quaid went 13 of 21 from the field for a 61.9 clip, while
going 9 of 12 from the line and was a force on the both ends of the glass pulling down 10 offensive rebounds and 21
defensive boards. He had three blocks for the week, while averaging 17.5 points and 15.5 rebounds per game.

OTHER TOP PERFORMERS
Brandon Neel, Midwestern State University, averaged 22 points and 6.5 rebounds to lead Midwestern State to back-
to-back Lone Star Conference victories last week at D.L. Ligon Coliseum. The senior guard from Cincinnati hit 7-of-15
shots from the floor and went 7-of-9 from the charity stripe to finish with 21 points and eight rebounds in an 89-79 win
over Western New Mexico. Neel the connected on 9-of-16 shots with a 3-pointer to finish with 23 points to go along
with a season-high six assists and five rebounds in an 89-87 overtime victory over Eastern New Mexico.
Corinthian Ramsey, Tarleton State University, led Tarleton by averaging 20 points and five assists per game in a pair
of games last week. Ramsey scored 25 on the road against No. 12 Texas A&M-Commerce where he shot 7-15 from the
floor and made six 3-pointers. Ramsey followed with 15 points and a career-high eight assists with no turnovers in a 103-
52 win over Arlington Baptist. For the week, Ramsey shot 48 percent from the floor and made eight three pointers.
David Chavlovich, West Texas A&M University, had the game winners in a pair of road wins at Angelo State and at
Texas A&M-Kingsville running the Buffs' winning streak to eight games. Down the stretch, Chavlovich hit a number of
key free throws and a go ahead bucket against Angelo State and then followed with a triple - his only long ball of the
game putting WT up four. Against Texas A&M-Kingsville, Chavlovich scored and earned the "and one" with 3.8 seconds
left to put WT up one as TAMUK missed the potential winner at the buzzer. For the week, Chavlovich shot 11 of 36 from
the field (.306), 3 of 18 from beyond the arc and 13 of 16 from the line (.813). He had 10 assists and two steals, while
averaging 4.0 rebounds per game and 19.0 points per game.
Josh Morris, UT Permian Basin, averaged 17.7 points and 8.7 rebounds as UTPB went 2-1, winning 99-56 over
Arlington Baptist and 79-50 at Texas A&M Kingsville before an 84-83 loss at Angelo State. Morris scored 23 points in the
win over Arlington Baptist, recording a double double with 10 rebounds. He scored 20 points on 9-10 shooting with eight
rebounds in the 29-point win at Texas A&M Kingsville. He scored 10 points with eight rebounds in the one point loss at
ASU.
Arcaim Lallemand, Eastern New Mexico University, nearly averaged a double double on last week's crucial LSC road
trip for the Greyhounds. Against Cameron and Midwestern State, the junior forward converted 52.9 percent of his shots
from the floor and averaged 15.5 points along with 9.5 rebounds. In ENMU's dramatic win over Cameron, he scored a
career-best 20 points on a six-for-nine shooting performance, and pulled down 11 rebounds. Lallemand hit all eight free
throws and had 10 points with six caroms in the second half. He also contributed 11 points and eight rebounds as the
Hounds took Midwestern State to overtime on Saturday. Lallemand also was an asset on the defensive side, with two
blocked shots in each game.
Will Adler, Angelo State University, was a major role player in the Rams' offense attack this week. The junior
average 13.5 points for the week as he dropped 27 total points for the week. For the week, he was 47.1 percent from
short-range, 53.8 percent from beyond the arch and nailed all four of his shots from the stripe. This included six 3-
pointers on his way to a team leading 20 points in ASU's upset of No. 6 UT Permian Basin. During this game, he was 6-12
from inside the arch and 6-9 from deep. In addition, Adler pulled down eight total boards and pocketed a pair of steals.
Jordan Enriquez, Western New Mexico, led the team in scoring in both games as he tallied 27 points, averaging 13.5
per game. He shot 67 percent (6-9) from the field, 2-3 (67) from three and went 13-16 (81) at the foul line. Enriquez also
dished out five assists and grabbed a rebound. In the near-win against Midwestern State he poured in 15 points, going 9-
10 from the foul line. He added 12 points and a pair of three-pointers against Cameron.
Zach Dumas, Cameron University, averaged 13 points as the Aggies faced off against Eastern New Mexico and
Western New Mexico this past week. The junior went off for 24 points against the Mustangs while shooting .615 from
the field and going 7-8 from the free throw line. Dumas also had three steals against the Mustangs, showing the ability
to jump the gaps and score in transition.
Sammy Allen, UT Permian Basin, averaged a double-double, scoring 10.3 points and 11.7 rebounds in a pair of wins
over Arlington Baptist and Texas A&M Kingsville and a loss at Angelo State. He recorded his first triple-double against
Arlington Baptist with 11 points, 12 rebounds and 10 assists. He had six points, six rebounds and eight assists in the win
against the Javelinas, and recorded 17 rebounds and 14 points in the one-point loss at Angelo State.
Tyshaun Copper, Western New Mexico, was a force on the defensive end grabbing 13 rebounds, 10 on the
defensive end, along with sending back four blocks and scoring 10 points. He tallied two blocks in both games, as he
tallied a strong game against Cameron with six points, seven rebounds, two blocks and a steal in making his second start
of the year.
Josh Hawley, Tarleton State University, led Tarleton with 19 points and six rebounds per game. Hawley had 17
points, five boards and two steals on the road to No. 12 Texas A&M-Commerce and followed with 21 points and seven
rebounds in a win over Arlington Baptist.
Davion Cole-Johnson, Angelo State University, headed the ASU defensive efforts for the week. He completed the
two game home stand pocketing a team leading three steals and two blocks. This included a pair of timely steals in the
Rams upset of No. 6 UTPB, which marked a career high. The junior averaged five boards per game as he pulled down six
defensive and four offensive rebounds. Hitting over 50 percent from both short-range and beyond the arch, he also
added a team fourth 20 total points and two assists to his numbers for the week. His 11 points against UTPB also marked
a career high for the guard out of Indianapolis, Indiana.
Zach Parker, Eastern New Mexico University, led a strong defensive effort last week, as the Greyhounds came within
seconds of sweeping a key Lone Star Conference road trip. He helped limit Cameron to just two three-point field goals in
21 attempts. The junior guard's five blocked shots against Midwestern State were the second most by a Greyhound
player in at least 18 years. Parker also had two steals in each game.
Willie Rooks, Texas A&M University-Commerce, had two steals in the No. 12 Lions' 82-70 win over Tarleton State on
Tuesday. He also played tough defense against the TSU guards, helping to hold guard Deshawn Riddick to seven points
below his average. Rooks also was a key offensive player, scoring 20 points on 8-of-11 shooting. He made four three-
pointers in the game.

Angelo State
Angelo State improved to 12-4, 4-3 LSC as it went 1-1 this week after facing a pair of top 10 teams. This included the
upset of No. 6 UT Permian Basin. The Rams will now hit the road to take on Western New Mexico and Eastern New
Mexico.
Cameron
Cameron fell in a heartbreaker against Eastern New Mexico, 70-67 and then handled the Mustangs of Western New
Mexico, 101-79. Zach Dumas scored 24 points against WNMU while averaging 13 points for the two game span while
Elish Benjamin averaged 12 points, Delano Jones averaged 11.5 and Jordan Lewis had 11 points in 11 minutes against
the Mustangs.
Eastern New Mexico
The Eastern New Mexico men's basketball team came within seconds of sweeping a two-game Lone Star Conference
road trip in dramatic fashion. On Thursday, the Hounds trailed by three points, but received six points from Arcaim
Lallemand and Lamarquis Thompson in the final 22 seconds. On Saturday, they recovered from separate deficits of 10
and nine points to take Midwestern State to overtime in a game which featured 18 lead changes and 13 tie scores. This
time, the Hounds trailed by four points with 43 seconds left in regulation, before Thompson hit a trey with 15 seconds
remaining to force overtime. Since December 15, the Greyhounds have won four of their last six games. This week,
ENMU returns to Greyhound Arena for LSC matchups against Texas A&M-Kingsville and Angelo State.
Midwestern State
Midwestern State claimed consecutive Lone Star Conference victories last week claiming wins over Western New
Mexico (89-79) and Eastern New Mexico (89-87/OT) at D.L. Ligon Coliseum... MSU won consecutive conference games
for the first time since winning five straight from Dec. 19, 2016-Jan. 14, 2017... The Mustangs claimed consecutive
victories for just the second time this season and for the first time since defeating Western State (Colo.) and
Southwestern Assemblies of God (Texas) on Nov. 18 and 21, respectively... Senior guard Brandon Neel delivered his fifth
and sixth 20-point efforts to up his season scoring average to 18 points per game -- fourth in the Lone Star Conference...
Sophomore guard Logan Hicks matched a season high with 19 points in MSU's win over Western New Mexico on
Thursday... Senior forward Josh Huntley completed his second double-double of the season gonig for season highs of 17
points and 13 rebounds in Saturday overtime win over Eastern New Mexico... Senior guard Devante Pullum has scored in
double figures in each of his last five games and in 11 of his last 12... Redshirt-freshman guard Charles Callier had a
season-high of eight points Thursday against Western New Mexico then topped it with nine points Saturday versus
Eastern New Mexico... Junior forward Ola Ayodele scored six points in both games last week against Western New
Mexico and Eastern New Mexico after scoring a total of two of his previous nine appearances...
Tarleton State

Texas A&M-Commerce
No. 12 Texas A&M-Commerce continued its perfect conference season, defeating Tarleton State 82-70 last week. It is
the fourth time in program history the team has started their LSC season with seven consecutive wins. All three other
times, the Lions won the LSC Championship. This is the first time A&M-C has won their first seven conference games in
64 years. They now hit the road to face nationally ranked opponents UT Permian Basin and West Texas A&M this week.
Texas A&M-Kingsville
0-2 last week.
UT Permian Basin
UT Permian Basin went 2-1 on the week, winning 99-56 early in the week over Arlington Baptist, 79-50 on the road at
Texas A&M Kingsville and an 84-83 loss at Angelo State. Four Falcons averaged double figures in scoring on the week,
led by Josh Morris and Daeshon Francis averaging 17.7 points in the three game set. Sammy Allen averaged a double
double with 10.3 points and 11.7 rebounds and recorded his first triple double against Arlington Baptist.
West Texas A&M
2-0 last week.
Western New Mexico
WNMU showed resiliency against Midwestern State as the Mustangs erased a 19-point first half deficit to take a late
two-point lead before the other Mustangs from Wichita Falls closed strong for the win. Against Cameron, WNMU held a
two-point halftime lead and stayed right in the game until a pair of runs by the Aggies put the game out of reach. Jordan
Enriquez, Davis Wade and Latrell Spivey all scored at least 20 points for the week, with Tyshaun Copper leading in
rebounding with 13 and adding four blocks. Enriquez led the team in scoring in both games as he tallied 27 points,
averaging 13.5 per game. He shot 67 percent (6-9) from the field, 2-3 (67) from three and went 13-16 (81) at the foul
line. Enriquez also dished out five assists and grabbed a rebound. In the near-win against Midwestern State he poured in
15 points, going 9-10 from the foul line. He added 12 points and a pair of three-pointers against Cameron. Copper was a
force on the defensive end grabbing 13 rebounds, 10 on the defensive end, along with sending back four blocks and
scoring 10 points. He tallied two blocks in both games, as he tallied a strong game against Cameron with six points,
seven rebounds, two blocks and a steal in making his second start of the year.

West Texas A&M and UT Permian Basin are just behind them at 6-1 in league games. The Lions and Buffs meet on Saturday, January 20, in Canyon, Texas. The game will be streamed on WatchESPN and the ESPN App as part of the Division II Basketball Showcase. LSC play continues this week with action on Tuesday, Thursday and Saturday. The LSC men have a 96-67 overall record so far this season. In the NCAA South Central Region, the men’s teams are currently 20-14 combined versus Heartland Conference teams and 16-6 against the Rocky Mountain Athletic Conference. LSC schedule and results available here: http://www.lonestarconference.org/calendar.aspx?path=mbball&& PLAYERS OF THE WEEK OFFENSIVE Trey Conrod, Texas A&M University-Commerce, JR, Forward, Kilgore, Texas, Kilgore HS Conrod was a perfect 9-for-9 from the field against Tarleton State in the No. 12 Lions' 82-70 win on Tuesday. He buried both of his three point attempts and was also perfect from the free throw line, scoring 22 points to lead the team. He was also active on the defensive end, nabbing two steals and a block. Conrod did it all in just 18 minutes on the floor for the Lions. He also had a plus-minus rating of plus-20, the best of any player in the game. DEFENSIVE Ryan Quaid, West Texas A&M University, JR, Guard, Fort Collins, Colo., Fossil Ridge HS Quaid posted two more double-doubles for 10 on the year in a pair of key road wins at Angelo State and at Texas A&M- Kingsville running the Buffs' winning streak to eight games. Quaid posted a career-high 21 rebounds in a thrilling 81-77 win at Angelo State on Thursday as he scored 21 points in the contest. He followed that with 10 rebounds and 14 points with two blocks against Texas A&M-Kingsville on Saturday. Ligon Coliseum. The senior guard from Cincinnati hit 7-of-15 shots from the floor and went 7-of-9 from the charity stripe to finish with 21 points and eight rebounds in an 89-79 win over Western New Mexico. Neel the connected on 9-of-16 shots with a 3-pointer to finish with 23 points to go along with a season-high six assists and five rebounds in an 89-87 overtime victory over Eastern New Mexico. Corinthian Ramsey, Tarleton State University, led Tarleton by averaging 20 points and five assists per game in a pair of games last week. Ramsey scored 25 on the road against No. 12 Texas A&M-Commerce where he shot 7-15 from the floor and made six 3-pointers. Ramsey followed with 15 points and a career-high eight assists with no turnovers in a 103- 52 win over Arlington Baptist. For the week, Ramsey shot 48 percent from the floor and made eight three pointers. David Chavlovich, West Texas A&M University, had the game winners in a pair of road wins at Angelo State and at Texas A&M-Kingsville running the Buffs' winning streak to eight games. Down the stretch, Chavlovich hit a number of key free throws and a go ahead bucket against Angelo State and then followed with a triple - his only long ball of the game putting WT up four. Against Texas A&M-Kingsville, Chavlovich scored and earned the "and one" with 3.8 seconds left to put WT up one as TAMUK missed the potential winner at the buzzer. For the week, Chavlovich shot 11 of 36 from the field (.306), 3 of 18 from beyond the arc and 13 of 16 from the line (.813). He had 10 assists and two steals, while averaging 4.0 rebounds per game and 19.0 points per game. Josh Morris, UT Permian Basin, averaged 17.7 points and 8.7 rebounds as UTPB went 2-1, winning 99-56 over Arlington Baptist and 79-50 at Texas A&M Kingsville before an 84-83 loss at Angelo State. Morris scored 23 points in the win over Arlington Baptist, recording a double double with 10 rebounds. He scored 20 points on 9-10 shooting with eight rebounds in the 29-point win at Texas A&M Kingsville. He scored 10 points with eight rebounds in the one point loss at ASU. Arcaim Lallemand, Eastern New Mexico University, nearly averaged a double double on last week's crucial LSC road trip for the Greyhounds. Against Cameron and Midwestern State, the junior forward converted 52.9 percent of his shots from the floor and averaged 15.5 points along with 9.5 rebounds.   • 3. Hounds took Midwestern State to overtime on Saturday. Lallemand also was an asset on the defensive side, with two blocked shots in each game. Will Adler, Angelo State University, was a major role player in the Rams' offense attack this week. The junior average 13.5 points for the week as he dropped 27 total points for the week. For the week, he was 47.1 percent from short-range, 53.8 percent from beyond the arch and nailed all four of his shots from the stripe. This included six 3- pointers on his way to a team leading 20 points in ASU's upset of No. 6 UT Permian Basin. During this game, he was 6-12 from inside the arch and 6-9 from deep. In addition, Adler pulled down eight total boards and pocketed a pair of steals. Jordan Enriquez, Western New Mexico, led the team in scoring in both games as he tallied 27 points, averaging 13.5 per game. He shot 67 percent (6-9) from the field, 2-3 (67) from three and went 13-16 (81) at the foul line. Enriquez also dished out five assists and grabbed a rebound. In the near-win against Midwestern State he poured in 15 points, going 9- 10 from the foul line. He added 12 points and a pair of three-pointers against Cameron. Zach Dumas, Cameron University, averaged 13 points as the Aggies faced off against Eastern New Mexico and Western New Mexico this past week. The junior went off for 24 points against the Mustangs while shooting .615 from the field and going 7-8 from the free throw line. Dumas also had three steals against the Mustangs, showing the ability to jump the gaps and score in transition. Sammy Allen, UT Permian Basin, averaged a double-double, scoring 10.3 points and 11.7 rebounds in a pair of wins over Arlington Baptist and Texas A&M Kingsville and a loss at Angelo State. He recorded his first triple-double against Arlington Baptist with 11 points, 12 rebounds and 10 assists. He had six points, six rebounds and eight assists in the win against the Javelinas, and recorded 17 rebounds and 14 points in the one-point loss at Angelo State. Tyshaun Copper, Western New Mexico, was a force on the defensive end grabbing 13 rebounds, 10 on the defensive end, along with sending back four blocks and scoring 10 points. He tallied two blocks in both games, as he tallied a strong game against Cameron with six points, seven rebounds, two blocks and a steal in making his second start of the year. Josh Hawley, Tarleton State University, led Tarleton with 19 points and six rebounds per game. Hawley had 17 points, five boards and two steals on the road to No. 12 Texas A&M-Commerce and followed with 21 points and seven rebounds in a win over Arlington Baptist. Davion Cole-Johnson, Angelo State University, headed the ASU defensive efforts for the week. He completed the two game home stand pocketing a team leading three steals and two blocks. This included a pair of timely steals in the Rams upset of No. 6 UTPB, which marked a career high. The junior averaged five boards per game as he pulled down six defensive and four offensive rebounds. Hitting over 50 percent from both short-range and beyond the arch, he also added a team fourth 20 total points and two assists to his numbers for the week. His 11 points against UTPB also marked a career high for the guard out of Indianapolis, Indiana. Zach Parker, Eastern New Mexico University, led a strong defensive effort last week, as the Greyhounds came within seconds of sweeping a key Lone Star Conference road trip. He helped limit Cameron to just two three-point field goals in 21 attempts. The junior guard's five blocked shots against Midwestern State were the second most by a Greyhound player in at least 18 years. Parker also had two steals in each game. Willie Rooks, Texas A&M University-Commerce, had two steals in the No. 12 Lions' 82-70 win over Tarleton State on Tuesday. He also played tough defense against the TSU guards, helping to hold guard Deshawn Riddick to seven points below his average.   • 4. Angelo State improved to 12-4, 4-3 LSC as it went 1-1 this week after facing a pair of top 10 teams. This included the upset of No. 6 UT Permian Basin. The Rams will now hit the road to take on Western New Mexico and Eastern New Mexico. Cameron Cameron fell in a heartbreaker against Eastern New Mexico, 70-67 and then handled the Mustangs of Western New Mexico, 101-79. Zach Dumas scored 24 points against WNMU while averaging 13 points for the two game span while Elish Benjamin averaged 12 points, Delano Jones averaged 11.5 and Jordan Lewis had 11 points in 11 minutes against the Mustangs. Eastern New Mexico The Eastern New Mexico men's basketball team came within seconds of sweeping a two-game Lone Star Conference road trip in dramatic fashion. On Thursday, the Hounds trailed by three points, but received six points from Arcaim Lallemand and Lamarquis Thompson in the final 22 seconds. On Saturday, they recovered from separate deficits of 10 and nine points to take Midwestern State to overtime in a game which featured 18 lead changes and 13 tie scores. This time, the Hounds trailed by four points with 43 seconds left in regulation, before Thompson hit a trey with 15 seconds remaining to force overtime. Since December 15, the Greyhounds have won four of their last six games. This week, ENMU returns to Greyhound Arena for LSC matchups against Texas A&M-Kingsville and Angelo State. Midwestern State Midwestern State claimed consecutive Lone Star Conference victories last week claiming wins over Western New Mexico (89-79) and Eastern New Mexico (89-87/OT) at D.L. Ligon Coliseum... MSU won consecutive conference games for the first time since winning five straight from Dec. 19, 2016-Jan. 14, 2017... The Mustangs claimed consecutive victories for just the second time this season and for the first time since defeating Western State (Colo.) and Southwestern Assemblies of God (Texas) on Nov. 18 and 21, respectively... Senior guard Brandon Neel delivered his fifth and sixth 20-point efforts to up his season scoring average to 18 points per game -- fourth in the Lone Star Conference... Sophomore guard Logan Hicks matched a season high with 19 points in MSU's win over Western New Mexico on Thursday... Senior forward Josh Huntley completed his second double-double of the season gonig for season highs of 17 points and 13 rebounds in Saturday overtime win over Eastern New Mexico... Senior guard Devante Pullum has scored in double figures in each of his last five games and in 11 of his last 12... Tarleton State 1-1 last week. Texas A&M-Commerce No. 12 Texas A&M-Commerce continued its perfect conference season, defeating Tarleton State 82-70 last week. It is the fourth time in program history the team has started their LSC season with seven consecutive wins. All three other times, the Lions won the LSC Championship. This is the first time A&M-C has won their first seven conference games in 64 years. They now hit the road to face nationally ranked opponents UT Permian Basin and West Texas A&M this week.   • 5. UT Permian Basin UT Permian Basin went 2-1 on the week, winning 99-56 early in the week over Arlington Baptist, 79-50 on the road at Texas A&M Kingsville and an 84-83 loss at Angelo State. Four Falcons averaged double figures in scoring on the week, led by Josh Morris and Daeshon Francis averaging 17.7 points in the three game set. Western New Mexico WNMU showed resiliency against Midwestern State as the Mustangs erased a 19-point first half deficit to take a late two-point lead before the other Mustangs from Wichita Falls closed strong for the win. Against Cameron, WNMU held a two-point halftime lead and stayed right in the game until a pair of runs by the Aggies put the game out of reach. Jordan Enriquez, Davis Wade and Latrell Spivey all scored at least 20 points for the week, with Tyshaun Copper leading in rebounding with 13 and adding four blocks.
