OTHER TOP PERFORMERS
Adam Berryman, Tarleton State University, sparked the Tarleton offense with a breakout rushing performance and his
44-yard touchdown run just three minutes into the second half ignited a 35-6 run in the second half against Oklahoma
Panhandle State. Berryman, who got the scoring started with a 15-yard run in the second quarter, found the endzone
twice in his first home game as a Texan. He averaged 13.0 yards with every rush as the junior ran for 143 yards on 11
carries with a pair of scores.
Tayshaun Gary, Eastern New Mexico University, had four runs of at least 10 yards in Saturday's win at Western New
Mexico. His 113-yard performance marked the second time in two seasons he reached the century mark against WNMU.
Gary's 53-yard sprint early in the fourth quarter set up a touchdown, which gave Eastern the lead for good.
Javia Hall, Western New Mexico, again threw for over 400 yards as he completed 21-41 for 418 yards and four
touchdowns against the Greyhounds. He now has the top two passing games in the Lone Star Conference this season.
He had a long completion of 59 yards and had two straight TD passes to help give the Mustangs their first lead early in
the third quarter when he completed a fourth-and-12. Eight different receivers caught at least a pass, with four catching
three or more.
Jake Faber, Angelo State University, led a potent offensive attack for the Rams to rack up 660 yards of total offense in
a 48-20 win over Northern Michigan. The senior quarterback threw for a career high 396 yards and three touchdowns in
the win. He competed 72.5-percent of his throws with a long pass of 47 yards. The Minnesota native also carried the ball
seven times for 21 yards.
3. Luiz Perez, Texas A&M University-Commerce, rebounded from an uncharacteristic performance in week one to throw
for four touchdowns in shortened action in the No. 3 Lions' 59-6 win over William Jewell. He was 20-for-29 for 236 yards.
With his four touchdown passes, Perez moved into sixth place in school history in touchdown passes, jumping Lion
legend Wade Wilson. Perez has 36 career touchdown passes.
Jordan Johonson, West Texas A&M University, had another big game leading the team with 66 yards rushing and
scoring the first offensive touchdown of the season for the Buffs in the 24-21 upset win over #7 Colorado State-Pueblo
Saturday. Johnson had 12 carries for 66 yards and a score. His score came as the Buffs began their 21-unanswered
point comeback for the win.
Dominic Barry, Western New Mexico, was back at his tackling ways against Eastern New Mexico as he piled up a game-
high 15 tackles, with four coming solo. He also had two tackles for a loss of three yards, including one on fourth down
and added a quarterback hurry. His 15 tackles are second best in the conference this season.
Kuziah Ferebee, Texas A&M University-Kingsville, was all over the field and was a huge part of holding the Simon
Frazier offense to just seven points through four quarters. The California native tied for a team-high six tackles, but led
the way with five solos. Early in the second quarter, Ferebee brought the hat to force a fumble, and in the third he
blocked a punt, setting the Hogs up in great field position with an already comfortable 21-0 lead. Three SFU possessions
later, the junior made his presence known again with an interception on the first play of the drive that led to a Javelina
touchdown.
Basil Jackson, Tarleton State University, continued his strong senior season with another dominant performance as
the Arlington native led the Texans with 15 tackles, including six solo stops. Jackson also had 1.5 stops behind the line
and a half sack on his ledger in Tarleton's home-opening win over Oklahoma Panhandle.
Hayden Hill, Eastern New Mexico University, led the Greyhound defense which forced five turnovers in Saturday's
victory over Western New Mexico. His forced fumble and recovery proved critical as Eastern scored 17 points off
turnovers in a three-point victory. Eastern's 17 points off turnovers are their most since scoring 21 points in the same
fashion at Bacone on October 10, 2015.
Garrett Blubaugh, Texas A&M University-Commerce, had a productive game on the defensive end for the Lions
against William Jewell. He had an 11-yard interception return for a touchdown. He also shared a tackle for loss in the
Lions' 59-6 win over the Cardinals. The Lion defense as a whole forced four turnovers and three turnovers on downs.
Daniel McCants, Tarleton State University, led Tarleton with 150 all-purpose yards, including 104 yards in the kickoff
return game and his first career kickoff return for a touchdown. McCants returned two kickoffs Saturday night, which
included taking the last one of the night 89 yards to the house for his first career return touchdown. He also added
seven rushes for 46 yards.
Bailey Hale, Eastern New Mexico University, had another strong week for the Greyhounds. His 32-yard field goal in
the second quarter proved crucial in the three-point victory. Hale also limited the Mustangs to a pair of kick return
attempts with five touchbacks in seven kickoffs.
Kristov Martinez, Texas A&M University-Commerce, moved into fifth place in school history in points scored in a busy
game. He made all eight of his PAT attempts and had a field goal in the Lions 59-6 win over William Jewell. Martinez also
showed his powerful leg, recording five touchbacks.

Tarleton evened its record at 1-1 with a 48-20 win over Oklahoma Panhandle, in which they outscored the Aggies 35-6 in
