PLAYERS OF THE WEEK
OFFENSIVE
Katie Webster, Tarleton State University, JR, Forward, Rockwall, Texas, Heath HS
Webster had the best week of her Tarleton career as she led the TexAnns to back-to-back wins over Cameron and
Midwestern State. The junior started the week off with a 19-point, nine-rebound effort to lead Tarleton's furious
second-half rally against Cameron Thursday night. With the help of Webster's near double-double, Tarleton erased a 14-
point deficit in the second half to start off the second half of league play with a win. Webster wasn't done there. The
junior followed up that performance with a career-high 29 points to lead the TexAnns in the thrilling win against
Midwestern State Saturday afternoon. Webster almost scored a career high in the first half as she had 21 points, eight
rebounds, and a pair of steals in the first 20 minutes. She finished the game with a double-double of 29 points and 13
boards. For the week, Webster led the team with 24.0 points per game and 11.0 rebounds per game. She totaled 48

then defeated Texas A&M-Commerce on the road. The sophomore averaged a double-double with 22.0 points and 10.0
rebounds while also averaging seven assists per contest. Bonnarens scored 12 points, grabbed eight boards, and had
seven assists against TSU and then followed that up with a career-high matching 32 points, 12 rebounds, and seven
assists against the Lions; she shot over 52 percent from the field, hit 4-6 from three, and went a perfect 4-4 from the
free throw line against TAMUC. That scoring effort improved her LSC leading scoring average to 18 points per game.
Khali Pippins-Tryon, UT Permian Basin, scored 16 on 7-11 shooting Thursday night in a 77-59 victory over Western
New Mexico in just 23 minutes. She did this while also dishing out three assists and scoring eight points in a 28-point
third quarter to pull away. She followed that up with a 23-point performance against Eastern New Mexico Saturday.
She went 8-9 from the free throw line while scoring 11 points in the fourth quarter to keep the Falcons in the game.
Artaejah Gay, Texas A&M University-Commerce, returned after a two-game absence and made her presence known
right away for the Lions. She averaged 19 points and pulled in 7.5 rebounds per contest. She continues to move up the
all-time leaderboard, moving from seventh to fourth place all-time in points scored. She had a season-high 27 points in
the Lions' 76-50 win over Midwestern State, while also recording a double-double with 10 rebounds. She then had 11
points in the Lions' 94-87 loss to Cameron. Gay shot 52 percent from the field and was perfect from the free throw line
during the week. She is fourth in the LSC in scoring, third in field goal percentage and ninth in blocked shots.
Jade Botelho, Western New Mexico, went for a double-double to start the week against UTPB when she tallied 19
points and 10 rebounds. She went 8-13 from the field and of her rebounds, eight came on the defensive end. To close

Dezirae Hampton, Angelo State University, led the Belles to their fourth and fifth straight victories averaging 14.5
points per game. The junior recorded a double-double against TAMUK with 14 points and 10 rebounds and followed it
up with 15 points and nine rebounds versus TWU. She hit 42.9 percent from the field and handed out 3.5 assists per
game.
Kaylee Edgemon, Eastern New Mexico University, played a big role in the Greyhounds' come-from-behind road wins
against #17 West Texas A&M and UT Permian Basin. With 14 points in each game, she helped Eastern overcome second
half deficits of 17 at WT and 6 at UTPB. Edgemon improved as the games went on, and shot .778 from the floor after
halftime, with 11 second-half points at UT Permian Basin, which nearly propelled he to a double double. Against
nationally-ranked West Texas A&M, thee freshman converted on four-for-eight from three-point range.
Madison Parker, West Texas A&M University, had another standout weekend for the No. 17 Lady Buffs as the senior
averaged 12.5 points per game to go along with 7.5 rebounds per game as WT moved to 16-4 overall with a 8-4 mark in
Lone Star Conference play. The Canyon product went 9-of-20 from the floor including 7-of-9 from the free throw line to
go along with 15 total rebounds, six assists, two blocks and a steal.
Mackenzie Hailey, Tarleton State University, came up big when it mattered most on the defensive end last week
while leading the TexAnns to a pair of Lone Star Conference wins over Cameron and Midwestern State. In Thursday's
comeback win against Cameron, Hailey's biggest defensive rebound led to the biggest shot of the night on the other end
when Hailey's board with five minutes left in the game led to a Nina Alvarez go-ahead three to put the TexAnns on top
for the first time in the contest, which ultimately went on to be an 86-81 comeback win. Hailey followed up by coming
up big again Saturday. With seven seconds left in the game, Midwestern State put up a potential game-tying three but
Hailey got a piece of the ball to deflect it into the leaping arms of McKinley Bostad to seal the win. For the week, Hailey
also boasted back-to-back 20-point performances with 25 against Cameron and 21 against Midwestern State - both in
double-double efforts. She averaged 23.0 points per game to go along with 22 rebounds, five steals, an assist, and two
blocks.
Lejha Smith, Cameron University, anchored the Cameron defense this week, recording a team high four blocks and
three steals in their 1-1 split. The junior also average 15 points and nine rebounds while shooting over 76 percent from
the field. Smith helped the Aggies hold TSU to just 30 points in the paint and keep the Lions to under 40 percent
shooting from the field. She is currently first in the LSC with 10.3 rebounds per contest and second with 2.1 blocks per
game.
Jade Botelho, Western New Mexico, went for a double-double to start the week against UTPB when she tallied 19
points and 10 rebounds. She went 8-13 from the field and of her rebounds, eight came on the defensive end. To close
the week, Botelho added 14 points, four rebounds and three steals versus West Texas A&M.
Princess Davis, Texas A&M University-Commerce, helped lead the Lion defense to two games of holding opponents
to 50 points or less. She had seven steals and a blocked shot over her three games last week. She had a steal and helped
the Lions hold Dallas Christian to just 26 percent shooting. She then had two steals against Midwestern as the defense
held the Mustangs to 32 percent shooting. Davis followed that with four steals and a block against Cameron. Davis also
made an impact on the offensive end, averaging 13.7 points, including a career-high 31 points against the Aggies. Davis
is third in the LSC in assists and fifth in minutes played.
Marquita Daniels, Angelo State University, led the Belles defense against TWU with a game-high six steals. The
senior scored 14 points in the win which is ASU's fifth in a row. She also added seven assists while hitting 42.9 percent
