The maze escape is similar as there is there is a man trying
to get through maze which is appealing because it is a
challenging and will keep you entertained.
The dark colours will

find out what is going

implies that there is

action and excitement

into the big maze will
make people want to
see if they can beat the
maze so it will appeal
to a player competitive

The big title suggests that the maze is dominant and
that it is superior which will make people want to over
come the maze and beat it, making it appealing to
everyone.

This game has police and criminals in which will relate to my
game as a policeman is chasing a criminal and it is appealing to
the customer as police chases are normally jam packed with
action and split second choices which will excite the
customers.
The colours are

drawn to the game.
The piles of
money on the
floor will be in
my game
because it gives
the customer an
even bigger
challenge to get
the money as
well as beat the
maze and escape

gives an optional
task for the
player if they get
bored of the
main task.

This game is similar to mine
as it is the character you're
controlling then the
characters you're trying to
avoid and collecting the
cherries just like in my game
but you're collecting the
money piles. Customers like
this game because you have
to react fast and think
quickly which you will have
to do in my game I already
know it will be a success in
the entertainment side.
This game is in birds eye
view just like mine will
be because as it is a
maze the birds eye view
will help you to
understand where
you're going so that it is
not too hard and make
people not want to play
it. The birds eye view
angle is a good angle
because it makes the
player feel like he has
full control which will be
appealing to the
customer.

• What common features do the researched
products have?
- They're all one player games and have no option to play with other people. Which
could be a fault because people like to play with each other and can get bored if
having to play on their own all the time.
- They're all being chased by something which will increase the excitement in the
game as the player has to decide quickly because if they don’t the will get caught
and loose.
• What aspects of the research will you include
within your on work?
- I will include the birds eye view angle in my game as it will make it simple for the
player but still exciting for the player.
- I am going to use the one player being chased idea because it is a classic scenario,
the police chasing the thief through maze and will be appealing to the customer as the
majority find police chases exciting.
