2. Process
⢠This was my first FMP outcome which was
a front cover of a magazine the genre I chose
was fashion as this ties in with my other two
projects. I opened up photoshop and used the
print and A4 paper because this is the perfect
size and exactly how an actual magazine is
created. After this I imported my background
image at first I was unsure whether I liked this
because it didnât match with the pink colour
scheme of my fonts however I left it for now
to make sure I didn't spend to much time
choosing a background instead I looked for
fonts, I used dafont.com which I mentioned in
my planning but I also like to sometimes use
the photoshop fonts because they look better
with the layout. When getting rid of the white
background with my fonts I use the magic tool
to click on areas and press delete this is a fast
and easy way for me and I always use this
method. So far, I did begin to think something
wasnât right with the magazine because when
collecting fonts the cover still didnât seem to
pop out as much and colours didnât match.
3. Process
⢠Next, I explored the layer editing style once I had gathered
together all the fonts this included changing the outer glow and
bevel and emboss these are my two favourite edits for my fonts
because they give are better glow and brighten the font to make it
stand out a lot more. One of my favourite parts to this cover is how I
edited my title using the same scheme with a white outer glow. I
also added a pug by finding a circle using google images and over
laying fonts onto this, which I also used the magic tool to get rid of
unnecessary backgrounds. Lastly I decide to change my main
background image this is be cause my other image wasnât standing
out as much as I wanted because there wasnât a range of colour
whereas this image I now have involves greens, blues and whites
therefore I am happy I did this because it also matches the âsummer
collectionâ because the picture is taken with nature. However for
next time I will try take the photos beforehand so I know they will
match as it became quite time consuming having to wait to take the
photos.
Outcome
4. Process
⢠I then moved onto my second final outcome this is a
website page for my fashion line (Glam Gal) I began by
opening up wix.com I have used this website only once
before in my experiments so therefore I wasn't fully
experienced and did struggle to fully understand the
steps of designing it. I decided to use a template instead
of starting from scratch this was a lot more helpful and
the layout turned out to match and look professional.
Once I choose a simple template I added in the main
âsite menusâ such as home, about, contact, new in and
clothing, this was very simple and when creating my
logo I used the website to pick bright pink colour
schemes which was my main theme. I then imported
images from âmy mediaâ by plugging my phone into the
computer and downloading the pictures which I had
taken on my phone this didnât take too long and the
website helped me through instructions to complete
this, I added captions underneath the photos using the
text font so my audience where able to know what piece
of clothing they can purchase. So far, I was enjoying
creating this and learning the new icons and what I can
add onto the website.
5. Secondly, I moved onto designing all the pages
included on the menu buttons, I used the same
theme of colours so the pages would match and
not look odd. I continued to add all the images I
needed and created a mini profile of the brand
owner which was me, I wrote a brief explanation
and changed the fonts as to what this business is
about and why I created it, this gave the
audience a better idea and I did this so they can
connect on a deeper level to the owner this
would also pull the audience in more as they will
feel Asif they can trust this brand. To also grab
my audiences attention I create a circle using the
shape tool and added text in â40% OFFâ this will
catch my audiences eye because most people
prefer a cheaper price and they will be saving
money but the product is still high quality which
they want.
For my contact info I used a template to add in and
picked the colour and design style I wanted a chose
the same colour schemes of pink so this would match
the female audience type. Overall, I was really happy
with my outcome for the website because this was
only my second time using this website and it can be
very difficult to understand and for next time I can
improve by adding in more different type of products
such as accessories, this also didnât take up a lot of my
time as I planned out days I would spend working on
this product.

6. Process
⢠Moving onto my last FMP product which is a
magazine two-page spread, when opening up
photoshop to create this I used the a3
landscape and corrected the measurements to
(297-420mm) and created the page with a
blank white background. I then used google
images to find a pastel light coloured
background to place and I used this colour to
match the female audience, whilst doing this I
also used dafont to create my title and then
edited the blending options by adding a white
outer glow I believe this made the font stand
out a lot more with the match of colour
schemes. I then imported a photo which my
layout plan was to have this photo cover one
side of the two pages so therefore my
audience really focuses on the celebrity.
Whilst I was completing all o this, I also added
guidelines using the ruler tool this helped to
set the layout and everything was more even.
So far I feel my work was looking the way I
had planned and nothing was taking too much
time although I was unsure on whether the
photo I had chosen matched the pink
background colour scheme but decided to
keep it for now and look back on it when I
have finished the writing part.
7. Process
⢠I continued onto producing the text for the page I
chose to type this out in word beforehand so I could
copy and paste the fonts I did this because its a lot
easier and I can make sure the paragraphs make
sense and are correct. After writing about the
pictures I imported to other photos mainly focusing
on the clothing the model is wearing to promote the
brand. I edited the main photo by using the blending
options tool and added a black thin line I think this
made the image look more professional and didnât
look out of place. I used google images to copy and
paste the Instagram logo and dafont for the large
font which would stand out a lot to promote the
business. Then I lastly edited the pastel pink
background because it seemed quite boring and
plain, I did this by also using the blending option tool
and added a white faded line (outer glow).overall I'm
really happy with my outcome and I think all the
colours matched correctly and nothing looked out of
place, the layout looked just how I imagined and this
only took me over 2 days to produce and I spent a lot
of time making sure things were detailed instead of
rushing through.
