Included in my development and planning I created a mood board and style sheet for my mood board I
gathered together a few inspirational quotes which are related to my chosen ideas for my fanzine I
decided on including quotes because this will inspire my audience as they are positive and uplifting
words and it will push my audience to believe theses words. I will also have these larger on single pages
on my fanzine to really stand out to my audience and put the points across. I chose a mix of quotes some
which give out facts on fashion but also some quotes which tell the audience what they want to hear to
make them feel better and uplift them I did this because when I, myself look at quotes and read through
them it gives you’re a reality check for example ‘Instagram is not real life’ it makes you question that it
isn’t therefore my audience will think this and feel a lot better and raise this awareness which I aim to
achieve. Another selection of images I included in my mood board is illustration art (top right images)
this was something I did an experiment with included in my proof of concept and I liked how this had
turned out and I would like to look into more detail on how I can included this in parts of my fanzine
using Photoshop, I mainly gathered pictures relating to my audience (women + clothing).I love these
images because a few of these are basic but look very detailed which I like and will match in well with the
themes and colour schemes I am using.
The next range of images I found where also illustration ones but related with social media because this
is a subject which I am also focusing on and these style of images I can create myself ands include on the
social media pages I also liked the images of the 3 heads and the images included with phones I think this
is creative and with a saturated colour scheme this can stand out a lot to my audience. I decided o
including a couple images which are photography ones of my themes this is because I may struggle with
creating my other images using photoshop and therefore I have a backup in case I decide to take images
instead as it is good to include this in my planning.it also gives me a variety to chose from and I can
decide this on the first day of my production. Moving onto my style sheet I gathered the main font styles
I am looking to use script and serif fonts because these fonts are the ones which caught my eye especially
the script ones because these look mostly like they would be included in a fanzine. The last bit which I
focused on was my colour scheme palette I did chose a couple colours which matched with my mood
board images and I also chose pastel bright colours because this is the type of colour theme I want to
keep throughout my whole fanzine because it brings my pages together nicely and looks a lot more
appealing.

4. I picked out a few magazines for inspiration to my
fanzine (covers) and looked into a few of these to find
out a bit more within the fashion industry and beauty
as vogue holds a huge platform in this subject.

INTERVIEW:
I am looking to create an interview based on my chosen subjects of fashion, social media and mental health. My interview will be conducted either over the
phone or in person as this will depend on who I find to interview as I will be reaching out to a range of fashion brands which I know through email and social
media this will also include certain influencers I can give a message or email the brands in my planning and wait to see if I get an response. However if I do not
hear back from anyone I will chose my plan B this will be one of my friends who likes fashion and also uses social media a lot and I will ask her in case I need to
use this option which could be most likely if I do not hear back from brands. I want to ask the person who I will be interviewing a range of questions therefore I
can reflect with good feedback and more than just one response answers therefore I have more information to conduct to my audience and in my fanzine. I will
only be interviewing one person because I personally prefer this over a group of people because I get to know that person and my audience will specifically
know that all the responses are from this exact person which makes more sense rather than different answers which don’t add up. The two options I have
chosen on how I will conduct the interview will either be that I write down the responses or by recording the interview to then going back and typing up each
responses so I don’t miss any important bits or write down the wrong response. Once I get the responses to my interview I am wanting this to cover over at
least two pages to my fanzine mainly because I don’t want my fanzine to just focus on the interview I want to include more pages on other information.
FANZINE:

For my fanzine the content which I will be including will be split into different sections therefore I will included a content page this will have each part and what
is on which pages I decide to have this because it makes it a lot easier for my audience to find the page which they want to look on or find specific information.
This will be after my front cover page which I want to keep quite basic and not over crowd this page because this will be the page my audience first see when
picking up the fanzine and will sort of predict whether they want to look inside (if it interests them or not) after both of these pages I want to include a couple
pages which focuses on the effects of social media and mental health and also generally about social media as a whole I will produce this by researching on
information using google mainly to put together a few paragraphs for each page and find the specific quote images which will match up with the subjects for
the other side of my pages as I don’t want to add too much text because my audience may be put off if there is to much information to read through. The next
couple of pages will be based around fashion and women I will still continue throughout the same theme of having quotes on one side and also include either
illustration images or photography images to make my pages look more detailed and creative I want to categories my fanzine so all the bits of information are in
the correct order and are easy to find. Once I have all my fashion information which will be based upon the secrets behind the fashion industry and specific
parts of a day in the life of models etc how they see the fashion industry or general facts about effects on fashion and waste I will then include a hashtag which
will inform my audience and help my audience get involved as they can use this hashtag on their social media to spread the word across to the rest of the world
this hashtag will either take up the whole of the pages or I will add in the hashtag with a link or QR code. Therefore they can click this to find a subject message
where they can write their opinion and get involved or write to a brand on how they can get involved and help make a change. These will be all my pages
included in my fanzine.

6. Planning:
Included in my planning I decided to focus on finding someone who I will be in interviewing as I am still unsure at this point, I messaged a range of brands and
influencers as shown a few above which I had sent, so far, I haven’t gotten any responses which I have a plan b of using one of mu friends who is interested in my
subject, but I could also ask my manager who I work with because she ,manages a brand which does included clothing and female fashion related products. I chose
to ask these people before using my plan b as I would be great to use someone with a platform who has a lot of experience within the social media lifestyle or
someone who owns their own brand but if I don’t get a response within a week, I then have a plan which I can fall back on and won't be stuck on who to interview.
I found these people through social media (mainly Instagram) and picked a few which I did know and a few which I haven’t heard of before therefore I had a range
of people if any would contact back. Below on the next slide I also began to write out my interview questions because I will then already have them ready for my
interview and will be less time consuming for me when it comes to the interview however these questions could change overtime, as I could ask more detailed
questions which appeal only towards the person, I am interviewing which I don’t 100% know of yet, I have just put together a few which fit well together and
related towards my subject. To help me find my interview questions I used the internet for a bit of inspiration and looked at other peoples interviews online which
related towards either social media or fashion branding/industry as I was struggling with finding questions and how I should word them because I want them to
make sense towards the person I will interview. I have also planned out that I will audio record the interview and then listen back on this and write up the
interview this is because in my experiments I just wrote up the interview and it wasn’t as accurate and very time consuming.

7. Potential Issue Solution
My computer may not be working well or
doesn’t include photoshop if I am working from
home in my spare time and this is something
which I will need.
In my lessons in college I will make sure to spend
my full time focusing on production using
photoshop and also try access other sources for
example photopea.
My work may delete or corrupt and I could
potentially loose all of my production work on
photoshop which I cannot get back and have to
restart again.
Use a USB which I can keep all of my work on and
make sure I am ejecting this so therefore it is less
likely to corrupt and I can store my work all
together.
In case I need to take photos the weather on this
day could be bad and it could be raining which
was cause a delay in taking the pictures.
Decided an alternative as such taking the pictures
inside instead or plan another day in which I can
take picture on (when free).
My interviewee may not be available on the date
which I need to interview or cancel last minute
this would cause a delay for my interview and
have to re schedule which will be a lot more time
consuming for production.
Reschedule my interview for a time more
convenient for my interviewee and when I am
free myself or I could even conduct the interview
virtually over text or video chat.
My interviewee may not be able to no longer be
interviewed or have a busy schedule and have to
cancel multiple times.
Beforehand I can make sure I have a strong back
up interviewee who would be able to fit in last
minute and I would also have to look back on
changing my planning.

8. Potential Issue Issue will be Avoided by..
I could potentially get bad back ache whilst
working on production at college on the
chairs for sitting down for too long.
Taking regular breaks or even swapping my
chair to a more comfortable one that I might
not have issues with back ache.
By staring at the screen for too long this
could cause me to feel dizzy or my eyes may
begin to hurt because of the screen
brightness.
I can also take regular breaks and make sure I
have lunch or turn the brightness of my
screen much lower to avoid my eyes hurting.
Any loose wires on the classroom floor could
cause me to trip or any bags in the way
whilst I am doing my production.
Making sure before I start the day that I keep
my bag tucked under the desk and that
chairs are pulled in and no wires are on the
floor nearby.
In case I need to take pictures in specific
locations that could be dangerous or I could.
Trip over things on the floor or any cars
nearby.
Making sure I research the places
beforehand to make sure they are suitable
and safe and I will also make sure I look out
for anything whilst taking the pictures which
could potentially be on the floor.

Another focus was my layout plans for my planning because before I go into making my
production, I want a plan to know what will be on each page or how many pages I will include
together therefore I made a table below which is explain what's on my pages. I also made two
layout plans of my front and back cover because both pages are important for my fanzine as they
need to appeal towards my audience but also stand out and grab the attention therefore, I
chose feminine colour schemes and added images which relate in with my theme which I have
chosen (illustration) and for these to only have eyebrows and lips instead of other parts of the
face because this looks very minimalistic which I like. I have also added the minimum on both
pages because I don't want these to be overcrowded and look messy. My front cover also
includes social media apps to reveal to the audience that this isn’t just focused on one subject I
have then linked in social media into my back cover by adding my fanzine brand social media
which the audience can look onto. This was a good thing to put this on the back cover because it
is what my audience will look at the end therefore, they will then remember the social media
link and type this in to investigate more if they are interested. Overall, this has helped me to
have a better understanding and idea to what will be included within my pages.

11. Production Schedule:
Number Of Weeks: production process:
WEEK 1 Included in my first week of production I will be collecting together context
which is going to be included in my fanzine I chose this first because if I
gather together the information for each page it will be easier for me in the
long run as once I have my information I will then know how I will design
each page to link together. I will gather the information by look on the
internet making a lot of notes and turning these notes into paragraphs to
include. I will also begin my interview which will take over one day and then I
can start to add these in my fanzine as I have pre planned my questions out.
WEEK 2 I will finish off the interview and then take pictures as a back up in case I need
a few to include in my fanzine, however they may not be used. I will also
begin the creation of my fanzine by looking at my layout plans included in my
planning and start with one page at a time using photoshop.
WEEK 3 Next, I can focus on the design part and test out my colour schemes that I've
chosen add the fonts in and also test out my illustration idea which I included
on my mood board to see if this works out and see my outcomes (I may
decided to just use images which I have taken instead).I shall get to the end
of the week and have almost finished the fanzine.
WEEK 4 For my last week of production I will continue with finish off my fanzine and
making any slight improvements that I can find or things which could look
better and make sure I am happy with my outcome. I will also look back
through every page to make sure I haven’t made any errors or make sure I've
included the most I possibly can so I can then submit the fanzine and finish
my project.
