2. Process
• This is the fishing magazine
which I am going to re-
create and duplicate this to
my best ability by using
photoshop as an
experiment, I will be using
different pictures because I
wont be able to get it
identical. I found this image
of google images and I will
also be trying to match
fonts and colours schemes.

3. process
For the beginning of my process
experiment I began with opening
photoshop and selecting ‘print’ and ‘A4’
so the page looks like an actual front
magazine size. I then added a
background image of a swordfish in the
sea to match the existing magazine I
found this image on google images.
After this I started searching for font on
photoshop and found a all capital font
and filled in the text and placed it at the
top of the page I found using photoshop
quite easy so far whilst using the bucket
tool to colour because I have had past
experience with this.

4. process
Once I got the hang of the text icon on
photoshop I continued to add more of the
fonts of ‘swordfish’ and then by changing
the colour scheme to a yellow colour to
match the existing magazine cover. I
enjoyed this part of photoshop because I
didn’t find anything that difficult so far
and creating fonts are simple but at the
same time, I like testing out different
effects and colours to see which will
match because I get a better
understanding with photoshop because I
struggle with certain icons in photoshop.

5. process
This part of creating my product became
harder this is because I was struggling
with my layout and cropping the fonts to
place them in the same place as the
existing product so it didn’t turn out as I
would have expected. I used the same font
and the same colour scheme of white and
yellow whilst still using the text and
bucket tool for these. I was also struggling
with my size of the fonts because they
began to all change size and I had to place
the capitals in the correct places because I
wanted it to look almost identical, this
was my aim.

6. process
This is my outcome of the experiment; I
think it turned out very well and I think I
used my photoshop skills well to create it
very similar I also added in the same
price and barcode on the bottom left.
Throughout using photoshop I only
struggled with getting the exact layout
and cropping text. However if I was to
improve, I would check through
everything and make sure I took more
time and didn’t rush. I would have also
maybe used I harder example because I
think I chose a simple product which was
easy to re-create. Although overall my
photoshop skills have improved by
creating experiments and I know a lot
more information with photoshop now.

7. Reflection
• What elements of your experiments will you
include in your final product?
– The elements in which I will include for my
final product is mostly the same process to
how I created this experiment, I would make
sure I begin by using ‘print’ and ‘A4’ because I
have forgotten this before when creating a
magazine in my personal project. I will also
use my photoshop skills of using fonts from
photoshop and the internet and use my same
process of finding the perfect colour scheme
on Photoshop. Within my final outcome I am
looking to use one main background image as
I mentioned in my plan for my front cover
therefore this element will be used again as I
did this for my experiments so I had a better
understanding and learnt new skills in
photoshop. Lastly I also want to include the
layout plan because I liked the idea and how I
created this because It turned out the way I
wanted.
