2. Process
Firstly, I began by using
photoshop to place my
background in, my
background is my own
photo that I taken, with
the model I decide to not
edit the background and
leave it. This shot is a close
up to show of the makeup
look, this grabs the
audiences attention as
well.
I then began to try out
different types of fonts,
my favourite font which I
decided to use was
‘BODONI XT’ I got this font
from dafont.com.Once I
used the snipping tool and
pasted it into photoshop I
then go rid of the white
background with the
magic tool and decided to
keep it a black colour.
I decided to change my
font colour to match the
colour of the models nails I
achieved this by using the
clone stamp tool to match
the colour then the paint
bucket tool. After I used he
magic tool again to remove
the white background of
the mascara a chose this
mascara as it was basic and
easy to edit on.
3. Process
After this I didn't like how
my makeup brand looked
on the other mascara so I
decided to change it to a
larger mascara with a pink
colour on to match the
whole theme.
I then used the clone
stamp tool to erase the
other fonts on the mascara
and make it all black.
I was able to fit my brand
makeup logo onto the
mascara, I began with a kiss
logo which I found off of the
internet this colour also
matched again with the pink
theme this made it look more
professional. I used the magic
tool again to get rid of the
background and then added
my brand logo name ‘gloss
lasting’ I chose this name as
it relates to makeup.
Lastly, this is my finished
outcome of my magazine
front cover after my logo was
done I carried on with using
dafont to add in my slogans
and phrases and also
changed a few to
match the colour scheme
again, once this was done I
added a barcode, date and
price to the cover. I really
liked my final outcome as it
looked very realistic and
related to what my audience
had voted on my surveys.
4. Process
I firstly chose my border background from
google images and placed it in Photoshop,
however I felt this didn't’t look the way I
would have liked so I decided to try one with
more patterns to give a better look and effect
for the poster.
This one on the right I preferred a lot more
because it also stood out, I used the paint
bucket tool to make the patterns more bolder
by adding the black colour on more to be able
to see the pattern more.
After this I used the magic wand tool to get
rid of my white background, therefore I can
add an image in with the border, I then
added another layer which is my own photo
of makeup products, I chose to use this
photo because the lighting and angles of this
photo will catch my audience, with bright
saturated burst of colours of the makeup.
To improve this next time I would change
how many images I involve and would use
more than one.
5. Process
Afterwards, I used the magic wand tool again to remove
the edges of the white background and placed the image
under the border once this was done I went over my
frames again with the bucket tool so this stands out over
the image.
Eventually I was able to add in my text to advertising my
makeup brand. I used my texts from dafont.com in the
font ‘mermaid’ and script fonts I used these because they
look elegant and script fonts also look more professional
this therefore will grab my audience in as they prefer more
expensive looking and good quality fonts and makeup
products.
Overall, this is my final outcome
to my poster I decided to add
colour to my fonts which finished
of my poster, I used colours which
match the makeup covers using
the clone stamp tool and paint
bucket tool to achieve this.
Although I really like my outcome
to the poster if I was to re-do this
I would add my makeup brand
logo onto the poster this would
give a better effect to the poster
and is a way of advertising.
