3. Research
• The strengths of my research I are that it helped my products with how
the title looks, big , in the centre and colourful. Another thing that my
research helped with is that there should be a character from a popular
game in the middle of the page to attract more people that may play it.
Although there are some weaken is that it doesn’t explore many ideas
about what to write on the magazine and what to write on the inside
4. Planning
• The strengths of my planning is that I explored a lot of different ideas for my
project and what to put on my cover and inside for my magazine and what the
design for the cover could be. I also included Ideas on what games and pictures
to put in the magazine in the planning. The weaknesses of my planning is that
it is not very detailed on the ideas and a very simple in the planning
5. Time Management
• I think that I could of managed my time better and I had to complete some
work after the project was finished ad with additional time would of
changed the inside of my magazine and made it look more interesting with
a different background and more pictures.
6. Technical Qualities
The similarities between these
products is that they both include
a character in the centre of the
page, they also have the title at
top in a big font
Some differences
between the two
covers are that
they have
different colour
schemes
The title on my
magazine is
more bold and
in capitals and
on the other it
is more layed
back and in
lower case
In my magazine I
have the game title
behind the
character and in
the other magazine
they have put it in
front
7. Aesthetic Qualities
I like the
contrasting colours
and the character
in the middle is not
pixelated and looks
good
The tile is
also very
bold and
outstanding
The background of
the magazine is
white to make the
character stand outTo improve the
magazine I would
change the fonts
to make it look
better
8. Audience Appeal
To appeal to my
target audience I
have used a male
targeted game and
I have used a male
character to attract
a male audience
I have also used new
information about the
game to appeal to the
people that want to
find out new things
about the game
I have used a game that
can be played by any age
and can be played with
friends
I have also used a colour
scheme that is masculine
10. Feedback 1
• What did you like about the product?
– The main image is clear and edited well
– It is clear what the two articles are about on the
inside page.
• What improvements could have been made to
the product?
– It doesn’t look like a gaming magazine, the front
looks more like a sports genre and inside there is a
lot of blank space which makes it look like not
much content.
11. Feedback 2
• What did you like about the product?
– The layout looks like a magazine and the cover
lines are in the correct place.
• What improvements could have been made to
the product?
• The title of the magazine is very large and the
colours don’t really reflect gaming.
12. Feedback 3
• What did you like about the product?
– The article was informative and the stories on the
cover are relevant to a gaming magazine
• What improvements could have been made to
the product?
– The colour scheme is varied and this looks a bit odd as
well as the double page spread layout looks very
minimal in design.
13. Peer Feedback Summary
• What do you agree with from your peer feedback?
From the feedback I agree with that the front cover has
a good layout and that inside there is a lot of blank
space which makes it look like there isn’t much
content.
• What do you disagree with from your peer feedback? I
disagree with that it looks like sport magazine and not
a gaming magazine because of things like the title and
the name of the is on the front cover, there is also
information on what is inside the magazine and is
talking about gaming.
14. Peer Feedback Summary
From my peer feedback I have learned that I should of made the inside of my
magazine less blank and included more content inside. The good things I did for my
magazine was the layout of the front cover
