3. Research
• I reckon that my research was conducted well from the wealth of information that
was given to us, the strengths from my research would be that I looked at three
completely different magazines all on different genres just to get an Idea of what
my magazine could look like. The way the research helped my product was
because I took parts from all three magazines that I liked and sort of blended it
into my own magazine.
• I reckon that I could have made it look more professional by having a look at more
football orientated magazines or just simply having a look at the insides of
magazines.
• I do think though that the weaknesses of my research were that I many focused on
male magazines and football magazines. I do know that I looked at a PC gamer
magazine but they both have a heavily predominate male following so that doesn’t
help in the way of looking towards the female side to research
4. Planning
• I think that my strengths in my planning where my mind maps since I
plotted all the different ideas and ways I can plan my project out this then
helped me choose which direction to then go into.
• I think that the weaknesses of my planning where that I didn’t go into
tones of detail on my planning, mainly my mind map planning and I
believe that if I had done so it could have helped my product improve just
that extra bit .
5. Time Management
• I don’t think that I managed my time well because I didn’t finish my
project in time, and I believe if I had have extra time to spare then I think I
could have completed the project.
• I would have designed the double page spread better and planned on
what I was going to put into the magazine for text. But just in general
probably researched magazines better to get a better grasp on what they
consist of and what designs better suit them.
6. Technical
Qualities
Well both of the magazine
covers are both colour
coordinated, they also
make the one main
sportsman stand out. Ex1
Billy sharp . is the one main
focus in shot.
Ex2 Cristiano Ronaldo is
in shot and the text I made
behind him so he stands
out more.
Both have text on the left
and right suggesting
articles that will be in the
magazine.
7. Aesthetic Qualities
• I do think that my work
looks good because I think
it looks professional and
something you would buy
at the shops, the choice in
font could be better but
the use of colour in the
actual cover I think goes
well with the images.
8. Audience Appeal
I think that my project
will appeal to Belonger
and probably balanced
audience.
I believe that the front
is inspirational. So that
will link with the
belonger and most
likely a balanced
audience.
10. Feedback 1
• What did you like about the product?
– I liked the professional look of the front cover it
gives it a look that it could be straight off the
shelves.
• What improvements could have been made to
the product?
– I think that the text looks stretched and out of
shape.
11. Feedback 2
• What did you like about the product?
– I liked the colour coordination and also the use of
a blur to focus on billy sharp
• What improvements could have been made to
the product?
– I think that some improvements could be to make
the text match better (not the colour).
12. Feedback 3
• What did you like about the product?
– The thing I liked was that of the layout for the text
and photos
• What improvements could have been made to
the product?
– I do then think that the text could have been
changed to suit the product better.
13. Peer Feedback Summary
• What do you agree with from your peer
feedback?
– I agree that the front cover looks professional
• What do you disagree with from your peer
feedback?
– I disagree with the idea that the text needs to be
changed with it not fitting in with the rest of the
cover.
14. Peer Feedback Summary
I think that since there was some feed back
towards the text not fitting in with the front
cover but then I personally believe that the text
is fine, but if the masses think it doesn’t work
then its best to change it to suit it better.
