3. Planning
Strengths
– Helps give me an idea of what I wanted to make.
– Helps me decide on what the possibilities that are available.
Weaknesses
– You can only really visualise it in your head and that doesn’t show well it can be executed.
– Most of the stuff you look at are not looked into till you do your research.
This helped with the final product for this unit because with me putting all
my ideas down it gave me an idea of what I wanted to make in this case a
gaming magazine.
4. Research
Strengths
– It tells me what my audience what to see
– It gives me an idea of what the market wants as the next best thing
Weakness
– Opinions of the audience can change
– Not all of the audience want to answer every question
It help majorly in what direction I should take my magazine and told me what
my audience mainly want to read. In future I need to get more participants to
my survey so that it give me a better idea of what I need to do.
5. Time Management
Strengths
– Helps get all my work in on time
– Allows me to plan out what I can do in each time limit.
Weaknesses
– It still doesn’t stop me from missing some deadlines
Some parts of my project I completed earlier than others but the one that
took the longest was making the 2 page spread because I lost my progress
with my USB corrupting but I quickly made it to the point I was at but I also
improved upon the wording to make it more cohesive and understandable.
6. Technical Qualities
Both my work and this existing magazine have heading but both are in different
tones this is because mine is about a dark themed and the other spread talks
about a happy themed game called Katamari. Mine has arranged images as it is
a strategy guide that wishes to show the readers where and how to do things in
that specific game and the other is more of a review of the game so it only
needs a single image.
7. Technical Qualities
Bothe of the front covers have an in your face image of a humanoid in the centre
of the page but the one done by Edge uses crimson colours to show it is a violent
game that will have blood and gore as mine uses earth tones to represent the
explorative nature of the game an that it is set in a waste land. Mine has a few
advertisements of other thing that will be in the magazine and the other is quite
plain and only really showing the main story which is a review of blood Bourne
but it does show 2 thing at the top in 2 different colours of content that will be
covered on the magazine.
8. Aesthetic Qualities
The work that I have produced looks good in my opinion yes
and the visuals are understandable and does not hurt the
eyes as there is not anything contrasting to badly. I would say
the most creative thing I did was the shading on the edges of
the flagship and the placement of the images and wordings. I
what I think may improve the front cover might be making the
colouration a bit brighter. I also feel there could have been a
better looking font for the text in the article but the off white
for the font colour.
9. Audience Appeal
I would say it would appeal to my audience sort of as there is a lot
of imagery but it is still wordy but I feel that is the only way I could
do the strategy guide in the 2 page spread. I feel my front cover
would appeal to my audience as its simple and eye catching for the
reader. Also I made the price correct for the working class as it
cheap and affordable. But as my colour scheme is mainly earthly
colours It wont appeal as much but my flag ships font is of a warm
colour.

15. Peer Feedback Summary
