Working Title: The Gaming Guide
What is it called? This can change if you think of something better later
Product’s Purpose: The products purpose is to entertain the customer. I will do this by
adding colourful designs in to the magazine to draw and grab the attention of the customer.
I will also add effects that are designed to catch the customer’s eye. This will be the design
of the image that will relate to the customer and will know what sort of product it is straight
away. The products purpose is to inform the audience if the game is great and worth
buying. I will do this by writing reviews on the game and researching what sort of game this
really is. I will entertain the reader by making it more real and showing the reality of the
game such as the pros for example great graphics, great story line, easy to understand
straight away or cons like horrible design and awful graphics. However it’s up to them if it’s
worth buying and deciding for themselves. The result of this is that it tells the reader I do
have a say and they can understand first what they are jumping into. Another purpose is
that it needs to stand out and be colourful to the audience and entertain resulting in making
the magazine more alive and joyful. The customer will want to buy the magazine because it
shows how intense and action packed this game can be. I will achieve this by planning and
deciding the right route to take, such as the layout, headline, style of writing, colour,
image…etc.
What is the product’s purpose (entertain/educate etc.) and how will you achieve this?
Genre:
The product is a gaming magazine that will show audience if the game is worth buying or
not. I will do this by writing reviews on the product and researching what sort of game this
really is. The genre will consist of mysterious images of the game to draw in other
customers, resulting in the target market getting wider and therefore it will make the
audience bigger. Then more magazineswill be purchased. The product will have other
reviews other than mine.
What sort of product is it
Content:
The front cover will have the name of the game in big letters and a catchy title. This will
draw the audience and they will want to keep on reading the magazine . Then the front page
will be about me reviewing the game and talking about how to they should improve the. I
will also talk on why it’s a great as well, therefore being unbiased. The next page will
consist of the graphics and how interesting the story can be. I will also tell the audience
about the controls and how to go about this game. The next page will consist of the ove rall
review and I will talk about whether this game is worth the release price. I will then discuss
the story and whether it’s suitable for people who are 16 or older. My magazine will focus
on the PS4 version as the game is only on the PS4.
What is your product about? Discuss what you would put in it (be specific). Does it have a story? If
so, discuss it here
Audience:
This will appeal to my audience, asit will have disturbing content and will disturb people of
the age under 16. The reason I have chosen 16+ Is because my magazine will be simple and
easy to understand. The reason my magazine will be targeted at both genders is because it
brilliantly enjoyable for both. The reason is because its gender neutral this is great for all
genders. The reason I have chosen the achiever is because the game will be about getting
all the clues and beating the time. The achiever will want to be powerful and be at the top.
The gaming magazine im creating is about beating others monsters and solving cases as
quickly as possible and becoming the almighty king at the game. The reason I have chosen
C2 is because the game is about skills. This is great as this appealsto my gaming
magazine that I'm creating, as they will be able to buy it and understand how to read it. My
psychographic for my magazine isfor “belongers” as it they are loyal, as they will give me
a chance to listen to me, therefore resulting in more loyal customers that will listen to my
reviews on the game and are more likely to buy my magazine again.

Who is your audience? Be very detailed; age, gender, social status, psychographic etc
Why would your project appeal to this person?
Legal & Ethical Considerations: There will be no offensive material, therefore it’s suitable
for some ages as the game I’m reviewing is a 16+. This will mean it will be restricting for
younger audiences. This will not offend any social groups/religions/ethnicities. I will make
sure of this by doing research and planning before publishing. I will make sure of this by
abiding to the ASA codes, therefore reassuring it will not offend anyone above the age of
16. I won’t be using characters/names/logos of existing products/IPs except from the font. I
will not get sued as I will change and tweak to make sure I will not get sued.
Think about any offensive material you will include?
Will you restrict younger people using/accessing it?
Will it offend any social groups/religions/ethnicities?
How will you ensure you do not offend anyone?
Are you using characters/names/logos of existing products/IPs?
Will you product be sufficiently different from existing products to not get sued for copyright
infringement?
