Production Reflection

Process
The first thing I did was edit the page side to fit the images,
which was A4. I then went to find images on the internet and
found this murdered soul suspect image. I did have to crop
some parts as it wouldn't’t look right. I then made the title
with a black box to make it match with the murdered soul
suspect background. I then changed the colour of the title to
make it stand out to the audience. I then added some different
style effects to make it look nice and stand out even more to
the audience. I then added a barcode to make the magazine
look presentable and so the customer can buy the product. I
then added a price to the magazine which is “2.99”. This is
reasonable and affordable to the customer. I then added a PS4
logo to the magazine by searching the internet for companies
that support the game I'm wanting to review and talk about. I
then placed text to make the magazine understandable to
readers as they might not know what the product is about. The
text tells the reader the magazines is about the game called
“murdered soul suspect” and that they can obtain the limited
edition game by visiting the website below. I then placed a
quote to draw the reader in by saying it’s a great game and
they will want to read more, to find out if its true.
Process
The reason I have chosen the murdered soul suspect background is because it
shows the viewer how amazing the game is and draws the customer in. The reason
I have made the title grey and stand out more, is because it will make the audience
more interesting and clearer than other magazines, resulting in more magazines
being sold and having a wider target market. The reason why I have chosen this
layout is because its presentable to the audience and is also easy to follow.
Therefore this will get a bigger audience because it will make the magazine easier
and presentable more than other magazines. This will widen the target market,
resulting in more magazines being sold and having more loyal fans.
The tools I have used are rulers which helped me decide where the images should
go. This was the best tool for the job as they didn't’t get in the way that much
compared to other tools. However it was difficult to find this tool. The reason it was
so effective is because I could see if any of my work would get cut off by the
printing process. I then used the rectangle tool to select or highlight the bits of the
image I didn’t think were suitable for this magazine. This was effective as it didn’t
take to long on how to understand the tool and how it worked compared to similar
tools, that were hard to use and were confusing. I then used the eye dropper to
select similar colours to my background to make the front cover of the magazine
more presentable to the audience, therefore targeting the audience so that they
will become more interested in my magazine. I then used the blending tool to make
the text more sharper and stand out more to the audience. I hit the target audience
by focusing on popular genres and going from there to interest more people and
obtain a larger audience. Another reason is that I made the magazine stand out so
that the customer would know straight away what the magazine was but not to
much information so that they would want to continue to read more about this
amazing magazine.
Process
Looking now at my finished product I do think It needs improvements
and tweaks, as the work doesn’t stand out much as I wanted it to. I
would also like to change the size of some text as it is to large and tiny
and overall doesn’t fit well together. As this will result in less people
liking my product/magazine. However I do like the background as it
represents the game really well. Therefore it will gain a larger audience
and more copies of magazine will be sold. I also like the barcode and
the price tag as there not in the way and presents the magazine as well
layed out. However I would change a lot of the design and style of the
text but sadly I didn’t have enough time to finish tweaking and editing.
The reason because of this is because I spent to much time on the
background as I couldn’t find the right image to gather more audience
members. Overall I do like the front cover for example its presentable
to the audience and is also easy to follow. Therefore this will get a
bigger audience because it will make the magazine easier and
presentable more than other magazines. This will widen the target
market, resulting in more magazines being sold and having more loyal
fans. However the text styling is not to my liking and makes the
magazine feel more like a poster rather than magazine. I also dislike
the space I had to work with as I had problems fitting everything in and
making it look neat and tidy.
Process

The first page I used the text tool to create text boxes which

However I would change a lot of the design and style of the text but sadly I didn’t have enough time to finish tweaking and editing. The reason because of this is because I spent to much time on the background as I couldn’t find the right image to gather more audience members. Overall I do like the front cover for example its presentable to the audience and is also easy to follow. Therefore this will get a bigger audience because it will make the magazine easier and presentable more than other magazines. This will widen the target market, resulting in more magazines being sold and having more loyal fans. However the text styling is not to my liking and makes the magazine feel more like a poster rather than magazine. I also dislike the space I had to work with as I had problems fitting everything in and making it look neat and tidy.
  • 5. Process 1st page of the double sided spread The first page I used the text tool to create text boxes which were useful. This is because no other tools are like it as its simple to use and easy to understand, however it was in a hard place to find. This resulted in time being lost, therefore I couldn’t add more detail about murdered soul suspect. This also resulted me in losing more marks. I then used the rectangle tool to select or highlight the bits of the image I didn’t think were suitable for this magazine. This was effective as it didn’t take to long on how to understand the tool and how it worked compared to similar tools, that were hard to use and were confusing. I then used the eye dropper to select similar colours to my background to make the front cover of the magazine more presentable to the audience, therefore targeting the audience so that they will become more interested in my magazine. The reason I have chosen the murdered soul suspect background is because it shows the viewer how amazing the game is and draws the customer in. The reason I have made the title grey and stand out more, is because it will make the audience more interesting and clearer than other magazines, resulting in more magazines being sold and having a wider target market. The reason why I have chosen this layout is because its presentable to the audience and is also easy to follow. Therefore this will get a bigger audience because it will make the magazine easier and presentable more than other magazines. This will widen the target market, resulting in more magazines being sold and having more loyal fans. I would also like to change the size of some text as it is to large and tiny and overall doesn’t fit well together. As this will result in less people liking my product/magazine. However I do like the background as it represents the game really well. Therefore it will gain a larger audience and more copies of magazine will be sold.

Process 2st page of the double sided spread The first thing I did for the second page for the double sided spread was edit the page side to fit the images, which was a A3 so that everything would all fit together in the right space. I then went to find images on the internet and found this murdered soul suspect image. I did have to crop some parts as it wouldn't’t look right. I then added some different style effects to make it look nice and stand out even more to the audience. I then placed text to make the magazine understandable to readers as they might not know what the product is about. The text tells the reader the magazines is about the game called “murdered soul suspect” and what they will be expecting of the game and if its worth buying. I have chosen the murdered soul suspect background is because it shows the viewer how amazing the game is and draws the customer in. The reason why I have chosen this layout is because its presentable to the audience and is also easy to follow. Therefore this will get a bigger audience because it will make the magazine easier and presentable more than other magazines. This will widen the target market, resulting in more magazines being sold and having more loyal fans. The tools I have used are rulers which helped me decide where the images should go. This was the best tool for the job as they didn't’t get in the way that much compared to other tools. However it was difficult to find this tool. I then used the eye dropper to select similar colours to my background to make the front cover of the magazine more presentable to the audience, therefore targeting the audience so that they will become more interested in my magazine. I then used the blending tool to make the text more sharper and stand out more to the audience. I do think It needs improvements and tweaks, as the work doesn’t stand out much as I wanted it to. I would also like to change the size of some text as it is to large and tiny and overall doesn’t fit well together. As this will result in less people liking my product/magazine. However I do like the background as it represents the game really well. Therefore it will gain a larger audience and more copies of magazine will be sold.
