3. Feedback
■ After promoting my pitch for an entertainment magazine to my peers, I received
feedback from a range of identities and personalities. Each person left comments on my
idea which has helped me identify what is good about my idea and what could be
revised.
The comments included:
■ "love the intertextualityof the Bowie and Madonna ref."
■ "great idea to establish what is missing"
■ "good intertextuality"
Some suggestions:
■ "Make sure its always fun, loving"
■ "not sure about Bowie and Madonna's relevance to young audiences"
4. Conclusion
■ In conclusion from this feedback, I noticed a mixed responsetowards the
intertextual references I proposed- I intend to use the ideas but explore them in a
more relevant way. I believe the context of my idea does this, as well as the audience
responseto the magazine plan. Explicitly by using the intertextuality of Madonna
and Bowie to present issues of today and using relevant models and ways of
presenting the ideas to reach a broader audience. I intend to use a female model for
the Bowie photoshootto explore the now very relevant empoweringfemale
representations, while also exploring the androgynous aspect Bowie repesents.
