3. There are seven (7) types of derived nouns. Each one of these comes with their individual scales that
indicate to us how to construct it. This scale caries a particular implication which helps to bring out
the meaning. In the beginning we are going to discuss five (5) of the most popular derivatives, in shaa
Allaah and try to apply them to each verb that we study. These are listed below:

فْرَّظال ُمْسِا the time or place where the action is carried out
ةَغَلاَبُمْلا ُمْسِا

لِاعَفْلا ُمْسِا one that does the action (the doer) -
nouns used for exaggeration
the object upon which the action is carried out.
