PLANNING – WHAT INFLUENCED ME
For my FMP I will be creating a car graphics fanzine which I am really looking forward to creating this because I
think it will be a fun and interesting project to do.
What influenced me to create something like this was my interest in car graphics and different wrap available.
This happened just a couple of years ago after watching some Youtube videos of cars leaving a car show and also
watching a tv series called Yiannimize.
Yianni a British TV personality and businessman who is the founder of the car customising company Yiannimize,
which was the setting of the TV series. Yianni: Supercar Customizer, originally broadcasted on the British TV
channelDave. He and his team have over 20 years of experience of car design and wrapping. He's done many car
designs for people including a range of celebrities. However, he doesn’t just wrap cars, he and his team also do
custom builds, custom-coloured alloys, window tints, full leather re-trims through to complete vehicle
conversions and vehicle branding. The business is based around London area, so they do get a wide range of
clients including celebrities.
The TV series gave me an interest in wanting to do car graphics as a career. This was because I liked the wrap that
each car had done and how the car visually looked at the end. But also, the different designs and how unique
each car was. When placing the same wrap on different cars this will look different and doesn't always suit each
make of car, part of the design process to make a car look great you need to be very visual in design creating
which I find very interesting.
PLANNING – WHAT I'M GOING TO CREATE
For my FMP project I'm looking to design a fanzine on car graphics for
a client. It would explain the before and after design of a car,
information about the company and a guide to the process on what
the car goes through to look like the after design with the graphics on.
I think that this will be an interesting and fun project to make as I am
very interested in car graphics and graphics as a whole and the range
of designs that make each car look different and unique. However,
when it comes to wrapping cars in certain designs there are a range of
wrap types such as gloss, matte, satin, brushed, custom, carbon, cut
out and chrome and each one of these wraps can come in many
different designs which give different styles to different types of
vehicles. This can be down to the shape of a vehicle and what extras it
may have in terms of body kit, spoilers etc.
When thinking about making this brochure, the things that I am good
at which would participate in this project is sketching car vectors
(templates) and creating designs for cars. Also, how each design would
be different and unique to one type of car.
PLANNING – WHY I WANT TO CREATE A FANZINE
I have chosen to create a fanzine for my FMP, the reason for this is because I think it will be a fun project to
do and is about car graphics which I find interesting.
As a visual person I like drawing and artwork but also, I like cars which with this subject I can incorporate all
this to create a fanzine of interest that is informative and has great car designs.
With doing this I am also able to use different software which builds my knowledge and experience
further.
PLANNING – FRONT COVER
FLATPLAN
When thinking about my front cover I plan to use a similar layout as my previous
fanzine project however I plan to use more brighter colours as I have found they
tend to be used a lot to attract the audience. I do plan to use a sketch to help me
make improvements before I start making my fanzine as it will help me prevent
wasting too much time when it comes to the production week.
I plan to do the front cover quite simple, as looking at fanzine front covers for a
previous project they tend to make the front covers quite simple. I think this is
because they want to keep their audience curious. So, I will keep it quite simple
but use a variety of bright colours to also help grab my audience's attention.
When doing this sketch, I found it quite easy because I plan on doing the front
cover quite simple because it’s a fanzine and I don’t want to show everything on
the front cover because then the audience loses interest
However, if it doesn’t go this way then there is another way to adjustments
because I will have a rough sketch and if for whatever reason when I comes to
making it, it doesn’t go well I can make some slight adjustments when creating it
or do them before creating my fanzine
PLANNING – CONTENTS
PAGE FLATPLAN
When thinking about the contents page of my fanzine I plan to use
a similar layout to the first fanzine I made. However, I intend to
make this one look better, even though I'm tempted to use dark
colours as it is mainly based round cars like the last one, I do plan
to stick to a lighter theme for this fanzine as it will make the fonts,
images etc all stand out.
On this page I intent to start the corner peel effect and use it
throughout the rest of the fanzine. This is because I want it to have
that slight car wrap effect on the pages and I think this will help
catch the audience's attention.
When sketching the contents page, I found it a little harder
because I had a range of ways on how to layout the information
like the previous fanzine project. But I think I was eventually able
to find a structure that would go well. However, I do have a feeling
I may change this a little before I start creating it.
PLANNING – INSIDE
PAGES FLATPLAN
For the pages I plan to use a range of images and information
because from reading leaflets and some fanzines myself too many
pictures or too much information can get boring. So, when doing
rough sketches, I have tried to spread out the information and
images throughout the fanzine, so it helps keep my audience
interested. Ive done the sketches with a layout that I can follow
when working out the structure of the fanzine and this will help
me out a lot because then im not messing around trying to figure
out the structure of how each page goes. So, with this ill save a bit
of time which then I can put towards some possible improvements
if need be.
When drawing these pages, it was quite difficult because I tried to
balance out the information with images throughout the flat plan
so that I could see if I need to make any improvemenst, or possibly
add some more pictures or information. But from looking at the
flat plan I think it all looks good with how it's all spread out.
PLANNING – BACK COVER
FLATPLAN
For the back cover I plan to just do a full-page image this is
because I think it will help finish the fanzine quite nicely, but I
also think it will help keep the audience genuinly interested. This
is because throughout this project I don’t want to bore the
audience even the slightest if possible.
I plan to keep them interested even when finishing the fanzine
off. This is because I want to keep the audiences mind curious
and interested and to do this, I plan on using a full image to help
do that. I think it will also help with my time bacause then I can
focus on more of the other pages and make slight improvemenst
before the production deadline.

STYLE SHEET – COLOUR
SCHEME
I plan to use a light colours for my fanzine as I want the
fanzine to stand out. To help me with my colour scheme I
have used the adobe colour wheel on the internet to get a
few colour pallets to help me decide what colours I could
potentially use. I used some colours from an image of the
colour wheel itself to help me make some of the pallets. So
that I could potentially use a mix and match of colours to
find the right colour scheme for my fanzine.
STYLE SHEET FRONT PAGE
When thinking about the front cover of my fanzine I want to be
able to keep a light theme going throughout the fanzine, but I
also need to be fluent with the styles of font I plan on using for
my fanzine. However, I may take some colours from a logo I did
a while back, that I could potentially use on my front cover as
well as a logo for the front cover.
For my front cover I also plan on using a bold basic type of font
and to help me with this I might use either google font or
adobe font. From looking at the adobe font they have more
choice and a better selection that I think will go well for my
fanzine. This is because I want the information to be shown
clearly and from looking at front covers of fanzines, they use
very basic fonts.
STYLE SHEET – CONTENTS
PAGE
The contents page I think will be a little difficult
as its just as important as the front cover to
grabbing the audience's attention. But it’s the
first page within the fanzine that has information
on it, so I need it to be just the right amount of
information on it. Otherwise, I could bore the
audience.
When thinking of the structure of my contents
page , I plan on following the structure on the flat
plan however when looking at how the other
content pages are I may make the images circular,
to represent wheels as the fanzine has cars
involved. But they also use pale colours, and I
may use some of these colour as part of my
colour scheme.
STYLE SHEET - LOGO
The colour white represents a
succesful beginning, safety or
perfection. The colour is used
to make the logo stand out
The colour gold
represents success. The
colour is used on this
company's logo to show
their audience and their
customers that they are
a successful company.
when thinking about the logo of my fanzine, I want it
to be quite simple as looking at logos for past projects
they are quite simple and usually have 3 colours. This
example has gold, black and white. But it uses basic
style font for the logo. For the basic font I plan on
using adobe fonts as they give you a variety of
examples.
STYLE SHEET – CAR DESIGN 1
The colour red represents
power. So within this
design it is seen to make
the car stand out and
look more powerful from
other day to day vehicles
The colour white represents a
succesful beginning, safety or
perfection. The colour is used
to make the vehicle stand out
and look perfect from others
The colour black represents, power like
the colour red but it also represents
authority and elegance. So when
describing the colours used on this design.
These colours are used to make the car
look powerful and elegant at the same
time as looking unique from normal
vehicles.
STYLE SHEET – CAR DESIGN 1
When thinking about the first design, I plan on doing a minimum of 3 but it
depends on how well I plan my time when it comes to production. However, I
plan on making designs like this one where it shows the design underneath the
car. But rather than just doing a side view I plan on trying to show around the
car as well depending how much room it would take away on the page within
the fanzine. To help me do these I plan on using templates that I have used
previously for my own projects, this will then mean I can just add deisgns to
them, but I may have to make some of my own.
Furthermore, I will try make the templates look realistic as it give the audience
a better view on what the car would look like on the road rather than just a
basic template. To help me with this I will watch a few videos before
production, so that I can create the templates and they are done ready for the
production week, I may also do some through the production week as I want
to do a variety of cars.
STYLE SHEET – CAR DESIGN 2
The colour orange represents happiness
and joy. When using this colour for a
design on a vehicle, it will help the
vehicle stand out a lot as it is a brigtht
colour. But also the customer would be
happy with the colour and so it will
bring happiness to the customer
knowing they have the colour they want
on their vehicle.
I plan on doing all sides of the vehicle, when
thinking about the desigs of the cars. I plan to
use a variety of cars from cars before 2000 to
cars from 2020. This is because I want my
audience to be interested and the only way
to do this is by showing them that we do a
variety of cars. I also thinnk that showing
realistic views of the car with designs on will
help get a better

MOODBOARD - TEMPLATES
MOODBOARD – TEMPLATE ANALYSIS
Looking at the moodboard there are variety of styles on how each of the vehicles look. However, for my project I
will create templates like these so I can use some of them for the before and after design in my fanzine as well as
the templates section. But the templates are mainly in black and white with either the headlights or number plate
coloured in, this is so every detail and creases of the vehicle can be identified on the template.
When creating my fanzine, I will make sure to do a black and white template and then fill the template after, so
the car looks like a painted vehicle rather than a template of a vehicle. Furthermore, when filling the templates in
with colour for my fanzine it will make the designs on the vehicle visible and go with the colour scheme of the
vehicle. Also, when creating the templates for my fanzine I will make sure to include a range of old and new cars
as my target audience is aimed at people aged 17+ years. Plus, some people from my surveu wanted to see a
range of old and new cars with crazy designs and so I plan to include that within this fanzine. This is because I
think it will help attract my audiences attaention but throughout this project I need to be in the mindset of my
audience so that I can make it interesting and creative for them.
MOODBOARD – CAR GRAPHICS
MOODBOARD – CAR GRAPHICS ANALYSIS
Looking at this moodboard there are a variety of colours and designs for each vehicle. So, when creating
my fanzine, I will make sure to include a range of colours and designs for each vehicle that I plan to use in
my fanzine. This is because I want to show what the fanzine is about but also keep the audience interested
When looking at the moodboard the colours that mainly appear is black, white, green, grey and blue, so
when creating my fanzine, I will make sure to include some of these colours in the designs as visually they
appear to go well together and should capture my audience's attention. But also, I will be trying to have a
lighter colour scheme so it will be a case of possibly mixing and maching colours that also go with the
colour schem of the fanzine.
Many of these designs on the moodboard do look similar so I am going to try and create a variety of
designs for my fanzine to suit different people as they are likely to have different preferences but also
different vehicles.
MOODBOARD - FANZINE
MOODBOARD - FANZINES ANALYSIS
Looking at this moodboard the fanzines have a simple layout and easy to follow structure so I will follow
this kind of structure for my fanzine because looking at most of the fanzines they have a basic front page
and back page. Which I am going to try do for my project because it’s a way of grabbing the audience's
attention because the covers are simple and not full of too many images or information.
On the moodboard the fanzines are either black and dull colours or bright colours depending on the topic.
So, for my fanzine I will use a variety of colours but have a light colour scheme to make everything within
the fanzine stand out in some way as I feel it will help to get people's attention when they read it.
MOODBOARD – MODIFIED CARS
MOODBOARD – MODIFIED CARS ANALYSIS
Looking at the moodboard most of the vehicles have a spoiler or some form of body kit on the vehicle
which look good but also there are different makes of vehicles. Which I could use some of these vehicles
with and without body kit for my templates
For the modified cars moodboard I will make sure there are designs for vehicles with and without
modifications, so that none of my target audience feel singled out. By putting designs with modifications
on it may also inspire them to add things to their own vehicle which comes at a price though. But
throughout the project I will try to to be in the mindset of my target audience so that I can keep them
interetsed throughout the fanzine.
MOODBOARD - NEW AND OLD CARS
MOODBOARD – NEW AND OLD CARS ANALYSIS
The moodboard has a variety of vehicles from different years which are different shapes and sizes. When
considering my project, I will make sure to include designs for a range of vehicles old and new from the
years 2000 to 2020 as I feel this is the ages of cars most people will have. I may add some older cars that
came out before 2000 as some people from the suvey wanted classic cars as well as modern cars.
I will also use some of these cars throughout the fanzine to show that it's not just mordern cars but a
variety of cars. I plan to use a variety of cars so that it will help keep the audience interested but also to not
single out any cars that people may have becayse if people see its just based around modern cars, they
might not find it iteresting because they might have an older car. So therefore, I plan on using a variety of
cars, old and new.
MOODBOARD - LOGO
MOODBOARD – LOGO ANALYSIS
Looking at the logos within the moodboard, most of the logos are quite basic because they don’t use many
colours and are mainly big and bold lettering. This is probably help to make the logos stand out. However,
when considering my fanzine, I will make sure to do something similar to these logos such as using big and
bold lettering to help make it stand out but to also help grab the audience's attention.
Having a simple but catchy logo will get people's attention but also so they can easily remember it. But
looking at these logos a lot of them use black or white. For my logo as much as its tempting to use black
and white, I will try and use other colours that are either bright or pale. This is because I want the logo to
work well with my light colour scheme for my fanzine.

MINDMAP – FINAL IDEA
MINDMAP – TEMPLATES OF VEHICLES
MINDMAP – TEMPLATES OF VEHICLES
I want my fanzine to include templates of a variety of vehicles old and new from the years before 2000 to
2020 as I believe this is the vehicle age range most people have. Also, if any of my audience was to have an
old car that was in between any of these years they wouldn’t feel left out.
I plan on doing templates that are from different perspective of the cars so that my audience have a better
understanding on what the car would look like all around with graphics on. I also plan to do the templates
realistic so help interest my audience rather than using just flat templates. But I will use some flat
templates mainly in the template section to show how the graphics are designed to help catch my
audience's attention.
MINDMAP - LOGO
MINDMAP - LOGO
When thinking about the logo fo my fanzine I will make sure it is a reasonable size so that it stands out
from the rest of the fanzind. However, I will make sure the logo is easy to read and so I plan on using a
basic font, something like Arial black or another font using adobe fonts to help make the logo look
readable but also big and bold.
I will look to use some shapes or a type of design to help the logo stand and capture the audience's
attention as from looking at logos through my research a lot of them have a basic design, fonts and coloyes
which grab their audience's attention. So, I plan to do the similar thing for my fanzine.
MINDMAP - COLOURS
MINDMAP - COLOURS
When considering to do my fanzine I plan to use a variety of light colours, this will consist of a range of pale
and lighter colours as I plan on going for a light colour scheme throughout the fanzine to help grab the
audience's attention.
Using these colours will help to make things in the fanzine stand out and catch the audience's attention.
However, when considering the colours and the audience's attention, I will need to plan out how I will use
each of these colours for the fanzine as it can affect the look and how it catches the audience's eye
When using colour, I also need to be mindful of not using too many colours, as I will need to be specific on
what and how things stand out otherwise people will not take in the information on it.
MINDMAP - PRICING
MINDMAP - PRICING
When thinking about the pricing section in my fanzine. I plan to use a variety of pricing that seem suitable for
my target audience. So, I need to think of pricing that affordable and decent for the types of graphics they are
for. I need to get the pricing right as it is a promotional fanzine and if I get the pricing too expensive or too low,
I could potentially lose my audience's attention because it would put them off.
This is because it would be seen as a company made for wealthy people or if the pricing is too low, it might
make them thik that the quality isnt great and its seen as being desperate. So, to help me with the right pricing
I plan on using a few examples with pricing for wraps on. So I can decide a reasonable price.
MINDMAP - APPLICATION
I plan to talk about the application in a step-by-step process so that it's easy to follow and the information
doesn’t come across as too much but enough to grab the audience's attention. But also, in a way so it's like
a guide so car enthusiasts can see how the process of car wrap/graphics goes
MINDMAP – BEFORE AND AFTER DESIGNS
When thinking about my before and after designs I plan on using views from different angles of the car.
This is so that my target audience get a better understanding and a better view at how the graphics look on
the car from all angles.
I plan to use a variety of colours for each of the designs to help make the cars stand out.

Fmp - car graphics planning updated

  • 2. PLANNING • What influenced me • What I'm going to create • Why I want to create this • Front cover flatplan • Content's page flatplan • Inside pages flatplan • Back cover flatplan
  • 3. PLANNING – WHAT INFLUENCED ME For my FMP I will be creating a car graphics fanzine which I am really looking forward to creating this because I think it will be a fun and interesting project to do. What influenced me to create something like this was my interest in car graphics and different wrap available. This happened just a couple of years ago after watching some Youtube videos of cars leaving a car show and also watching a tv series called Yiannimize. Yianni a British TV personality and businessman who is the founder of the car customising company Yiannimize, which was the setting of the TV series. Yianni: Supercar Customizer, originally broadcasted on the British TV channelDave. He and his team have over 20 years of experience of car design and wrapping. He's done many car designs for people including a range of celebrities. However, he doesn’t just wrap cars, he and his team also do custom builds, custom-coloured alloys, window tints, full leather re-trims through to complete vehicle conversions and vehicle branding. The business is based around London area, so they do get a wide range of clients including celebrities. The TV series gave me an interest in wanting to do car graphics as a career. This was because I liked the wrap that each car had done and how the car visually looked at the end. But also, the different designs and how unique each car was. When placing the same wrap on different cars this will look different and doesn't always suit each make of car, part of the design process to make a car look great you need to be very visual in design creating which I find very interesting.
  • 4. PLANNING – WHAT I'M GOING TO CREATE For my FMP project I'm looking to design a fanzine on car graphics for a client. It would explain the before and after design of a car, information about the company and a guide to the process on what the car goes through to look like the after design with the graphics on. I think that this will be an interesting and fun project to make as I am very interested in car graphics and graphics as a whole and the range of designs that make each car look different and unique. However, when it comes to wrapping cars in certain designs there are a range of wrap types such as gloss, matte, satin, brushed, custom, carbon, cut out and chrome and each one of these wraps can come in many different designs which give different styles to different types of vehicles. This can be down to the shape of a vehicle and what extras it may have in terms of body kit, spoilers etc. When thinking about making this brochure, the things that I am good at which would participate in this project is sketching car vectors (templates) and creating designs for cars. Also, how each design would be different and unique to one type of car.
  • 5. PLANNING – WHY I WANT TO CREATE A FANZINE I have chosen to create a fanzine for my FMP, the reason for this is because I think it will be a fun project to do and is about car graphics which I find interesting. As a visual person I like drawing and artwork but also, I like cars which with this subject I can incorporate all this to create a fanzine of interest that is informative and has great car designs. With doing this I am also able to use different software which builds my knowledge and experience further.
  • 6. PLANNING – FRONT COVER FLATPLAN When thinking about my front cover I plan to use a similar layout as my previous fanzine project however I plan to use more brighter colours as I have found they tend to be used a lot to attract the audience. I do plan to use a sketch to help me make improvements before I start making my fanzine as it will help me prevent wasting too much time when it comes to the production week. I plan to do the front cover quite simple, as looking at fanzine front covers for a previous project they tend to make the front covers quite simple. I think this is because they want to keep their audience curious. So, I will keep it quite simple but use a variety of bright colours to also help grab my audience's attention. When doing this sketch, I found it quite easy because I plan on doing the front cover quite simple because it’s a fanzine and I don’t want to show everything on the front cover because then the audience loses interest However, if it doesn’t go this way then there is another way to adjustments because I will have a rough sketch and if for whatever reason when I comes to making it, it doesn’t go well I can make some slight adjustments when creating it or do them before creating my fanzine
  • 7. PLANNING – CONTENTS PAGE FLATPLAN When thinking about the contents page of my fanzine I plan to use a similar layout to the first fanzine I made. However, I intend to make this one look better, even though I'm tempted to use dark colours as it is mainly based round cars like the last one, I do plan to stick to a lighter theme for this fanzine as it will make the fonts, images etc all stand out. On this page I intent to start the corner peel effect and use it throughout the rest of the fanzine. This is because I want it to have that slight car wrap effect on the pages and I think this will help catch the audience's attention. When sketching the contents page, I found it a little harder because I had a range of ways on how to layout the information like the previous fanzine project. But I think I was eventually able to find a structure that would go well. However, I do have a feeling I may change this a little before I start creating it.
  • 8. PLANNING – INSIDE PAGES FLATPLAN For the pages I plan to use a range of images and information because from reading leaflets and some fanzines myself too many pictures or too much information can get boring. So, when doing rough sketches, I have tried to spread out the information and images throughout the fanzine, so it helps keep my audience interested. Ive done the sketches with a layout that I can follow when working out the structure of the fanzine and this will help me out a lot because then im not messing around trying to figure out the structure of how each page goes. So, with this ill save a bit of time which then I can put towards some possible improvements if need be. When drawing these pages, it was quite difficult because I tried to balance out the information with images throughout the flat plan so that I could see if I need to make any improvemenst, or possibly add some more pictures or information. But from looking at the flat plan I think it all looks good with how it's all spread out.
  • 9. PLANNING – BACK COVER FLATPLAN For the back cover I plan to just do a full-page image this is because I think it will help finish the fanzine quite nicely, but I also think it will help keep the audience genuinly interested. This is because throughout this project I don’t want to bore the audience even the slightest if possible. I plan to keep them interested even when finishing the fanzine off. This is because I want to keep the audiences mind curious and interested and to do this, I plan on using a full image to help do that. I think it will also help with my time bacause then I can focus on more of the other pages and make slight improvemenst before the production deadline.
  • 10. STYLE SHEET • Colour Scheme • Frontpage cover • Content's page • Backpage cover • Logo • Car design 1 • Car design 2
  • 11. STYLE SHEET – COLOUR SCHEME I plan to use a light colours for my fanzine as I want the fanzine to stand out. To help me with my colour scheme I have used the adobe colour wheel on the internet to get a few colour pallets to help me decide what colours I could potentially use. I used some colours from an image of the colour wheel itself to help me make some of the pallets. So that I could potentially use a mix and match of colours to find the right colour scheme for my fanzine.
  • 12. STYLE SHEET FRONT PAGE When thinking about the front cover of my fanzine I want to be able to keep a light theme going throughout the fanzine, but I also need to be fluent with the styles of font I plan on using for my fanzine. However, I may take some colours from a logo I did a while back, that I could potentially use on my front cover as well as a logo for the front cover. For my front cover I also plan on using a bold basic type of font and to help me with this I might use either google font or adobe font. From looking at the adobe font they have more choice and a better selection that I think will go well for my fanzine. This is because I want the information to be shown clearly and from looking at front covers of fanzines, they use very basic fonts.
  • 13. STYLE SHEET – CONTENTS PAGE The contents page I think will be a little difficult as its just as important as the front cover to grabbing the audience's attention. But it’s the first page within the fanzine that has information on it, so I need it to be just the right amount of information on it. Otherwise, I could bore the audience. When thinking of the structure of my contents page , I plan on following the structure on the flat plan however when looking at how the other content pages are I may make the images circular, to represent wheels as the fanzine has cars involved. But they also use pale colours, and I may use some of these colour as part of my colour scheme.
  • 14. STYLE SHEET - LOGO The colour white represents a succesful beginning, safety or perfection. The colour is used to make the logo stand out The colour gold represents success. The colour is used on this company's logo to show their audience and their customers that they are a successful company. when thinking about the logo of my fanzine, I want it to be quite simple as looking at logos for past projects they are quite simple and usually have 3 colours. This example has gold, black and white. But it uses basic style font for the logo. For the basic font I plan on using adobe fonts as they give you a variety of examples.
  • 15. STYLE SHEET – CAR DESIGN 1 The colour red represents power. So within this design it is seen to make the car stand out and look more powerful from other day to day vehicles The colour white represents a succesful beginning, safety or perfection. The colour is used to make the vehicle stand out and look perfect from others The colour black represents, power like the colour red but it also represents authority and elegance. So when describing the colours used on this design. These colours are used to make the car look powerful and elegant at the same time as looking unique from normal vehicles.
  • 16. STYLE SHEET – CAR DESIGN 1 When thinking about the first design, I plan on doing a minimum of 3 but it depends on how well I plan my time when it comes to production. However, I plan on making designs like this one where it shows the design underneath the car. But rather than just doing a side view I plan on trying to show around the car as well depending how much room it would take away on the page within the fanzine. To help me do these I plan on using templates that I have used previously for my own projects, this will then mean I can just add deisgns to them, but I may have to make some of my own. Furthermore, I will try make the templates look realistic as it give the audience a better view on what the car would look like on the road rather than just a basic template. To help me with this I will watch a few videos before production, so that I can create the templates and they are done ready for the production week, I may also do some through the production week as I want to do a variety of cars.
  • 17. STYLE SHEET – CAR DESIGN 2 The colour orange represents happiness and joy. When using this colour for a design on a vehicle, it will help the vehicle stand out a lot as it is a brigtht colour. But also the customer would be happy with the colour and so it will bring happiness to the customer knowing they have the colour they want on their vehicle. I plan on doing all sides of the vehicle, when thinking about the desigs of the cars. I plan to use a variety of cars from cars before 2000 to cars from 2020. This is because I want my audience to be interested and the only way to do this is by showing them that we do a variety of cars. I also thinnk that showing realistic views of the car with designs on will help get a better

  • 20. MOODBOARD – TEMPLATE ANALYSIS Looking at the moodboard there are variety of styles on how each of the vehicles look. However, for my project I will create templates like these so I can use some of them for the before and after design in my fanzine as well as the templates section. But the templates are mainly in black and white with either the headlights or number plate coloured in, this is so every detail and creases of the vehicle can be identified on the template. When creating my fanzine, I will make sure to do a black and white template and then fill the template after, so the car looks like a painted vehicle rather than a template of a vehicle. Furthermore, when filling the templates in with colour for my fanzine it will make the designs on the vehicle visible and go with the colour scheme of the vehicle. Also, when creating the templates for my fanzine I will make sure to include a range of old and new cars as my target audience is aimed at people aged 17+ years. Plus, some people from my surveu wanted to see a range of old and new cars with crazy designs and so I plan to include that within this fanzine. This is because I think it will help attract my audiences attaention but throughout this project I need to be in the mindset of my audience so that I can make it interesting and creative for them.
  • 21. MOODBOARD – CAR GRAPHICS
  • 22. MOODBOARD – CAR GRAPHICS ANALYSIS Looking at this moodboard there are a variety of colours and designs for each vehicle. So, when creating my fanzine, I will make sure to include a range of colours and designs for each vehicle that I plan to use in my fanzine. This is because I want to show what the fanzine is about but also keep the audience interested When looking at the moodboard the colours that mainly appear is black, white, green, grey and blue, so when creating my fanzine, I will make sure to include some of these colours in the designs as visually they appear to go well together and should capture my audience's attention. But also, I will be trying to have a lighter colour scheme so it will be a case of possibly mixing and maching colours that also go with the colour schem of the fanzine. Many of these designs on the moodboard do look similar so I am going to try and create a variety of designs for my fanzine to suit different people as they are likely to have different preferences but also different vehicles.
  • 24. MOODBOARD - FANZINES ANALYSIS Looking at this moodboard the fanzines have a simple layout and easy to follow structure so I will follow this kind of structure for my fanzine because looking at most of the fanzines they have a basic front page and back page. Which I am going to try do for my project because it’s a way of grabbing the audience's attention because the covers are simple and not full of too many images or information. On the moodboard the fanzines are either black and dull colours or bright colours depending on the topic. So, for my fanzine I will use a variety of colours but have a light colour scheme to make everything within the fanzine stand out in some way as I feel it will help to get people's attention when they read it.
  • 26. MOODBOARD – MODIFIED CARS ANALYSIS Looking at the moodboard most of the vehicles have a spoiler or some form of body kit on the vehicle which look good but also there are different makes of vehicles. Which I could use some of these vehicles with and without body kit for my templates For the modified cars moodboard I will make sure there are designs for vehicles with and without modifications, so that none of my target audience feel singled out. By putting designs with modifications on it may also inspire them to add things to their own vehicle which comes at a price though. But throughout the project I will try to to be in the mindset of my target audience so that I can keep them interetsed throughout the fanzine.
  • 27. MOODBOARD - NEW AND OLD CARS
  • 28. MOODBOARD – NEW AND OLD CARS ANALYSIS The moodboard has a variety of vehicles from different years which are different shapes and sizes. When considering my project, I will make sure to include designs for a range of vehicles old and new from the years 2000 to 2020 as I feel this is the ages of cars most people will have. I may add some older cars that came out before 2000 as some people from the suvey wanted classic cars as well as modern cars. I will also use some of these cars throughout the fanzine to show that it's not just mordern cars but a variety of cars. I plan to use a variety of cars so that it will help keep the audience interested but also to not single out any cars that people may have becayse if people see its just based around modern cars, they might not find it iteresting because they might have an older car. So therefore, I plan on using a variety of cars, old and new.
  • 30. MOODBOARD – LOGO ANALYSIS Looking at the logos within the moodboard, most of the logos are quite basic because they don’t use many colours and are mainly big and bold lettering. This is probably help to make the logos stand out. However, when considering my fanzine, I will make sure to do something similar to these logos such as using big and bold lettering to help make it stand out but to also help grab the audience's attention. Having a simple but catchy logo will get people's attention but also so they can easily remember it. But looking at these logos a lot of them use black or white. For my logo as much as its tempting to use black and white, I will try and use other colours that are either bright or pale. This is because I want the logo to work well with my light colour scheme for my fanzine.
  • 31. MINDMAP • FMP Idea • Templates • Logo • Colours • Pricing • Applications • Before and after design
  • 33. MINDMAP – TEMPLATES OF VEHICLES
  • 34. MINDMAP – TEMPLATES OF VEHICLES I want my fanzine to include templates of a variety of vehicles old and new from the years before 2000 to 2020 as I believe this is the vehicle age range most people have. Also, if any of my audience was to have an old car that was in between any of these years they wouldn’t feel left out. I plan on doing templates that are from different perspective of the cars so that my audience have a better understanding on what the car would look like all around with graphics on. I also plan to do the templates realistic so help interest my audience rather than using just flat templates. But I will use some flat templates mainly in the template section to show how the graphics are designed to help catch my audience's attention.
  • 36. MINDMAP - LOGO When thinking about the logo fo my fanzine I will make sure it is a reasonable size so that it stands out from the rest of the fanzind. However, I will make sure the logo is easy to read and so I plan on using a basic font, something like Arial black or another font using adobe fonts to help make the logo look readable but also big and bold. I will look to use some shapes or a type of design to help the logo stand and capture the audience's attention as from looking at logos through my research a lot of them have a basic design, fonts and coloyes which grab their audience's attention. So, I plan to do the similar thing for my fanzine.
  • 38. MINDMAP - COLOURS When considering to do my fanzine I plan to use a variety of light colours, this will consist of a range of pale and lighter colours as I plan on going for a light colour scheme throughout the fanzine to help grab the audience's attention. Using these colours will help to make things in the fanzine stand out and catch the audience's attention. However, when considering the colours and the audience's attention, I will need to plan out how I will use each of these colours for the fanzine as it can affect the look and how it catches the audience's eye When using colour, I also need to be mindful of not using too many colours, as I will need to be specific on what and how things stand out otherwise people will not take in the information on it.
  • 40. MINDMAP - PRICING When thinking about the pricing section in my fanzine. I plan to use a variety of pricing that seem suitable for my target audience. So, I need to think of pricing that affordable and decent for the types of graphics they are for. I need to get the pricing right as it is a promotional fanzine and if I get the pricing too expensive or too low, I could potentially lose my audience's attention because it would put them off. This is because it would be seen as a company made for wealthy people or if the pricing is too low, it might make them thik that the quality isnt great and its seen as being desperate. So, to help me with the right pricing I plan on using a few examples with pricing for wraps on. So I can decide a reasonable price.
  • 41. MINDMAP - APPLICATION I plan to talk about the application in a step-by-step process so that it's easy to follow and the information doesn’t come across as too much but enough to grab the audience's attention. But also, in a way so it's like a guide so car enthusiasts can see how the process of car wrap/graphics goes
  • 42. MINDMAP – BEFORE AND AFTER DESIGNS When thinking about my before and after designs I plan on using views from different angles of the car. This is so that my target audience get a better understanding and a better view at how the graphics look on the car from all angles. I plan to use a variety of colours for each of the designs to help make the cars stand out.
  • 43. IMPORTANT THINGS TO CONSIDER • Resources • Contigency planning • Health and safety • Production schedule
  • 44. RESOURCES Equipment/ Props/ Costumes needed Locations needed Laptop Home Sketchbook Home scanner Home Pencils Home
  • 45. Potential Issues Solution Software crashes Make sure the computer is updated and that not many tabs are open that could lead to the software crashing Virus within the laptop that leads to the laptop slowing down Scan the computer to make sure there are no viruses within the computer Work lost and unsaved Save my work within the computer and a usb stick so that I have two copies of the work Drink spills on laptop and breaks the laptop Make sure my drink is somewhere safe away from the laptop The scanner could lose power Make sure the power cable is connected well and away to prevent a hazard CONTIGENCY PLANNING
