Experiments for my factual project

2. Experiment 1
When doing this experiment I was only messing
around by changing one specific colour on the
car. I then added a picture on the vehicle, but I
tried to do it within the new colour
scheme which was purple.When doing this
I used an app on my IPad which was Ibispaint x.
The original image is at the top and the new
design I did is at the bottom.
Thinking about my project I will create a range
of realistic designs to help the audience get a
better picture of what a variety of designs would
look like on a range of different cars.

3. Experiment 2
When trying to learn new techniques on photoshop, I
learnt how to change colour of an image but in a way
that doesn’t affect the lighting and makes the image
with the new colour look like it was the original
colour.
This experiment could come in useful for my project
because the new colours don’t look pixilated or just
filled in. It looks more realistic and this could help me
make my own creations for the cars used within the
fanzine.

4. Experiment 3
Within this experiment I started to draw the outline of
cars.This is because I want to be able to get a rough idea
on wat types of designs suit which cars and to mess
around with designs. I also use it to help me create
templates that I may use in my fanzine.To help me get a
better understanding and making sure I got the templates
the right size, I practised drawing the rear of the car.
This was to help get a rough idea on how precise each of
the lines within the template have to be as one mistake
can affect the full template.

5. Experiment 4
For a piece of work I was asked to
create a logo and even though this
doesn’t seem like an experiment. In a
way it kind of is an experiment this
was because I was messing around
with the hue and saturation and then
the brightness. I did this because I was
thinking about what colours go well
with others. But also how far can the
colour look bright before looking to
bright or too dark.
To make this logo I used 3 separate
images that in the end all worked out
and fitted with each other nicely.

6. Experiment Review
When thinking about my fanzine I plan to put the techniques and skills I have learnt
through these experiments into it.This is because I feel that some of the skills and
software that were used within these experiments will be useful.
I will also try and improve on some of these skills as these were just experiments and I
want everything in my fanzine to be at the best quality I could possibly get it.This is
because it is something I have never made before so I will try and include all the skills
I've learnt throughout last year and this year to help make this project be at its best.
Furthermore, I will also try some more experiments in my own time to help with this
project even more.This is because I want to expand my skills and knowledge on
mainly Photoshop but to also use the things I've learnt in future projects.
