Many cars are used in films such as Fast and furious or
Transformers. However this website showed me that the
earliest film that used a car was goldfinger in 1964 with the
Aston Martin DB5. This was used to help promote the Aston
Martin DB5 , but to also promote the film. This film helped
both the car and film company to be recognised by their
target audience.
I also found on this website how cars have been used in
films from the 60's and evolved over time to the 21st
century. However when looking at this website for my
research it will help me get a rough idea as to how early
cars appeared in the popular culture. But also how
cars were used to promote the film and how films promoted
cars.

When looking at this website it showed me the
first car video game which was launched in 1974.
This was called Gran Trak 10 which then
comparing it to other video games from today you
can see how games have evolved over time.
However when considering my essay I plan to talk
about how cars helped promote games and how
games promoted cars. I also plan to talk bits about
the graphics too since it all connects to one
another.

Looking at this website the earliest music video that involved a
car was in 1970 called queen of the highway by the doors. The
car that was involved in the music video was a ford mustang.
This website also showed me how music videos and the cars
involved changed over time
Furthermore when looking at the individual music videos, a
certain type of car is used for a specific type of music video. An
example would be Calvin Harris we'll be coming back for you
where it uses a Porshe 911 T and a Ferrari 512 BB. This music
video had used these cars to show the tention through the car
chase, which are both fairly fast cars.

When looking at this book it showed me how far back
graphics really began and from looking at this book it shows
me that it started all the way back to the cave men times.
This will also help me for my essay because it gives me a
rough idea of how graphics evolved over time.
It also talks about how drawings were used to communicate
at the time. however when thinking about my essay I plan
to talk about how graphics has evolved but how its evolved
through cars, through film, video games and music videos.

This book talks about the designs of a car and how
important it is within the car industry and the outside world.
It alqso mentions how the designs change throughout the
process and over time.
This source will also help me with my essay as it will give
me a better understanding on car designs and they are
used in fimls, video games etc. Also it will help me on the
graphics side as I can link this through pretty much
everything I plan on writing about.

Looking at this blog on the graphics of the cars 3 movie it
shows how the graphics of each individual racer changed
but also the graphics were used on the cars to make them
look sporty and fancy like racing cars.
Also this blog talks about how the designs on the cars
were based off the current nascar designs, which like
anything else has become more complex over time.
Looking at some of the images you can see the changes
the designers had to make to the cars, such as from bold
bright colors to big graphics to more of a darker and suttle
color with slightly smaller or less graphics on the cars.

In this video it shows you the evolution of the graphics from
need for speed video game from 1994 all the way to the
current games today. This game also helped to promote
cars from Porches to Nissan GTR's, it is also a well-known
game and a film has been created because of it. Then
because the film was such a success it helped promote the
film company, the game and the cars used within it.
From watching this video you can see dramatically how the
graphics have changed, from 1994 where they were all
static and you can just about make the car to about 2010,
where you could see the car brand, the number plate, the
detail on the setting etc.

When looking at the graphics of the cars from the fast and
furious movie and the graphics throughout the music video,
the graphics are very clear. However when you look at the
cars that appear in the video, you can see one with basic
stripes, which are known as racing or sport stripes. The
graphics on the car make it stand out from others of the
same make.
Furthermore when you look at the cars in the video, they
look very clean and well-polished, maybe with some
modifications like spoilers. However this website had a
mjority of music videos from the very first fast and furious
movie however this one had quite a selection of cars to talk
about.

This blog talks about the benfit of car wrap/ graphics. So a
few of the main things would be is to protect the
paintwork, reach more customers if it’s a company car,
improve brand recogition, to stand out from the rest etc.
However when thinking about my essay I plan to talk
about car graphics from a car enthuasiast point of view
rather than a business point of view.
