3. Research
• The strengths of my research is that I researched
into each one of my existing projects and focussed
on what I wanted to involve I my audio project. My
research helped my product by the way it influenced
everything I talked about.
• The weaknesses of my research was that I didn’t
really go into much depth when researching anything
to do with the new therefore I didn’t talk about
anything which might have informed my audience
about the news or whether. Next time I wont limit
myself for what I research and I will go into more
depth when finding out information.
4. Planning
• The strength of my planning would be that I
produced a lot of information on my mind map, this
enabled me to create my product to a better
standard. A strength of my planning would be that I
gathered my sound tracks to help ensure that I was
certain about what I could discuss on my radio
show.
• A weakness of my planning would be that I didn’t
fully keep to my schedule therefore caused me to
fall behind slightly. I would change this keeping to
schedule, doing some work in my own time. It took
me a while to find the right songs for my product
considering I had to find songs suitable for my
target audience.
5. Time Management
• I didn’t managed to keep on
schedule through out the unit which
caused me to fall behind. I think
that my project would be improved
with more time so that I could
explain and analyze my research
and plan more.
• Next time I will try and complete
more work at home and try to be
less distracted when it comes to
working.
6. Technical Qualities
• Compared to Nick Grimshaws radio show my
product contains a large variety of music just like
his.
• A difference between my product and Nick
Grimshaws radio show is that he has a genuine
jingle where as my product has an alternative
Jingles as I have used music instead of a little
tune.
• Another difference between our products is that
Nick Grimshaws radio show has a music bed
where as my product doesn’t which I think helps
the audience concentrate on what were talking
about.
• Another similarity of the radio show and my
product is that they both fade in and fade out at
the beginning and end.
7. Aural Qualities
• I spoke at a pace in which my audience could understand
me clearly and keep their interest.
• I spoke at a tone in which my voice could inform my
audience that the radio show was intended to be happy.
• We talked about funny morning routines to ensure that my
product had a humorous feel to it.
• I thought my product was creative considering I had made
a game which was specific to a certain radio show.
• I like the section of the radio show in which we talked
about word that we didn’t know what a certain word meant
and what we thought it could mean. The audience would
be interested in the different words.
• I would improve my product by minimising the amount of
gaps and pauses.
8. Audience Appeal
o The audience would be interested in my product because my radio show was
informative, educational and humorous.
• It was informative because I talked about the use of Netflix and what you
could watch on it.
• It was educational because I talked about what certain word meant and what
words were similar to each other.
• It was humorous because I played a game in which made me, my co-host and
special guest played which intended to make the audience sit think and laugh.
o My target audience would have been interested in the music I played
considering that they were from the age of 16-25.
10. Feedback 1
• What did you like about the product?
• Radio Game made me Laugh as the impressions were
humorous and the team seemed too have a laugh
which gave off good vibes and put me in a better
mood
• The songs appealed to me other than the last one
• What improvements could have been made to
the product?
• I think that the conversations were too long and
should have been shorter to keep the interest of the
audience, also there wasn’t enough music in the
11. Feedback 2
• What did you like about the product?
• I like the music at the beginning it is a good
introduction to get the piece started, it keeps you
intrigued to keep listening. You talk about Netflix
which is a current theme and trend throughout
podcasts this is positive and your target audience will
find this interesting.
• What improvements could have been made to
the product?
• The fades and cuts could have been improved but
the music sounds good and works with the product to
keep the listener interested.
12. Feedback 3
• What did you like about the product?
• I liked the how enthusiastic you were
whilst speaking, I also liked the way you
spoke as if you knew what you were
saying it made it seem as if you had
properly researched what you were talking
about.
• What improvements could have been
made to the product?
• I think an improvement would be that
you should consider using a music bed
behind your talking.
13. Peer Feedback Summary
• What do you agree with from your peer
feedback?
• I definitely agree with the improvement of including
more music in the radio show because I feel this will
keep the audiences attention for longer. I also agree
with a comment saying that I should include a music
bed because it will help to identify my show.
• What do you disagree with from your peer
feedback?
• I disagree with the comment suggesting that I should
shorten the conversations between myself and the
guest or the co-host because I think the content of
the conversation was interesting and kept the reader
14. Peer Feedback Summary
As a radio presenter, recorder, editor and scripter of
this project next time I would change the layout of the
radio show by adding a couple more songs in to
separate the dialog, this would continuously grab the
audiences attention with the variety of sound that they
will be hearing.
I would also add in a music bed to help the
audience differentiate my radio show from others and
help keep the radio show unique.
