3. Research
• My research helped my product by giving my better and broader ideas for
my product , the research also helped inspire different kinds of topics and
other stuff.
• The strengths of my research was that I researched specific ideas that
were in line with what I had in my head already which allowed me to
develop those same ideas further.
• A weakness of my research was that I didn’t know anymore than 1 good
podcast already so I had to pick some random ones and listen to them to
see if they were good.
• I could have put more time into researching the different podcasts to
improve my research.
4. Planning
• The strengths of my planning were that I could strengthen my researched
ideas and get them written down. My planning helped my product
because I had written down a rough script to go off of as a talking point in
the podcast.
• I feel like my planning was a little weak because of the lack of it , I feel like
I could have put my time into planning the podcast to make it sound more
professional and to have had more ideas in it.
5. Time Management
• As a way of time management I made sure to get my research , planning
and experiments done as fast but also as in depth as possible so I would
have more time to produce the final product. In the final product
production I also managed my time by writing out a rough script to keep
the time roughly around 5 minutes.
6. Technical Qualities
• My product is similar to other existing products such
as the joe rogan podcast because they engage in
general discussion on certain topics whether that
simply be convocational or educational.
• A difference between the two podcasts is the topics
they talk about , my product focuses on fishing
whereas the joe rogan podcast discusses general
interesting topics.
7. Aural Qualities
• I believe my work does sound good and im happy
with how creative it was , I didn’t think the audio
project would be one I would enjoy but I did and im
happy with the outcome. I liked the general
discussion feel to my final project and I thought that
this was one of its strengths .
8. Audience Appeal
In my research I wrote that my target audience would be 16-99 , I said I would do this by
‘Making nice open minded friendly discussions on the podcast to appeal to anyone
interested.’ I did not do this in the end but I did end up making it appeal to this age range
by talking about travelling and local fishing because the average age for a fisherman is 16+
Another way of appealing to my target audience of working class men is by suggesting
local areas but also talking about foreign fishing as this is what a lot of these people would
be interested in as they dream of doing it one day. I should have mentioned good places
to buy equipment as this would have appealed even further but unfortunately I did not.
10. Feedback 1
• What did you like about the product?
– I enjoyed the vast knowledge of fish.
• What improvements could have been made to
the product?
– Could have had better audio quality.
11. Feedback 2
• What did you like about the product?
– The topic of discussion
• What improvements could have been made to
the product?
– Different and more open areas of discussion.
12. Feedback 3
• What did you like about the product?
– The open minded questions.
• What improvements could have been made to
the product?
– More English based talk like local fishing.
13. Peer Feedback Summary
• What do you agree with from your peer
feedback? The topic of discussion
• What do you disagree with from your peer
feedback?
– Could have had better audio , which I do agree
with but also there was no better way available for
me to get better sounding audio.
14. Peer Feedback Summary
I would change the fact that more discussion should have been based
more around the UK and local fishing so that it would suit better into my
target audience of working class people as your average working class man
cannot afford to go to the places we discussed on the podcast. To change
this next time I would talk about home waters such as the sea or local
rivers and ponds which would probably interest my target audience
further.
