Media evaluation question 7
1. Media Evaluation Question 7
My media over the last few months has improved dramatically and that has been
because I have been working towards this since my preliminary task. My
preliminary task was to show that we could use skills such as match on action;
shot reverse shot, and the 180-degree rule. However I did start the year with
some basic media skill as I did do it for 2 years previously so I knew how to work
all the equipment and do some basic things on Adobe Premier and Adobe
Photoshop but compared to my general media knowledge now it was very
limited.
Over this last year I have been taught and then refined a number of skills that I
needed to use for creating my media film since my preliminary task and these
are for example at the start we learned about all the different camera
shots/angles such as a long shot , close up , medium close up , point of view ,
worms eye view , birds eye view…etc. we then went on to learn about the
planning process and storyboarding , costume , diegetic and non diegetic sound
and script making. All of which I needed to use for create and establish my final
media film and although it could have been better it could also have been a lot
worse if I didn’t already have these skills.
However having said that there are some other skills that I would like to gain to
assist my work in the future such as a better understanding of Adobe Premier
and AfterEffects because I believe that I could have used them to make my film
look more impressive even though I did use a basic animation which is better
than in my preliminary task where I used no animation it still could have been
more advanced. Another skill I would like to really fluently understand would be
to have the right camera angle/shot for each scene because I find that mine could
be improved upon.
