 Lionsgate wouldbe mychoice of a companyto produce my filmbecause theyhave agood
reputation, lotsof moneyanda gap inthe marketfor somethingthatwouldbe British
and/ora crime film.Althoughtheyhave done occasional crime filmstheyhave definitely
aimeditat a more Americanactionmarketwhere asif theywere touse theirmoneyand
reputationtoproduce a Britishbasedcrime filmthatwasgrittybut funnyitwouldfill a
particulargap intheirportfoliowhichcouldbe verysuccessful inEngland whichwould
attract a differenttargetaudience towhatthey have beenaimingatpreviouslyandwould
therefore bringinalotof moneyif itwas done well.
 Lionsgate’s popularcrime filmsinclude :JohnWick(2014) , Onlygodforgives(2013) ,
Olympushasfallen(2014) and the upcominglondonhasfallen(2016) all of whichhave been
veryAmericanisedandare Hollywoodescfilmswhichiswhere theyare showingagapinthe
marketespeciallyinrecentyearsandI thinkthathavinga grittyveryBritishcrime filmthat
was done withpassionnotwiththe needtojustexplode everythingonthe screenall the
time woulddoverywell.But it’snotonlyLionsgate thatisshowing agap in that market
because there have beennogreatBritishcrime filmsinthe lasttwoyearsotherthan the
exceptionof Legend(2015) whichisnot done witha Britishcrime filmatmosphere as itfeels
verystylisedandnotverygritty,sothat isgenerallyagap on the filmmarketnotjustin
Lionsgate whichisevenmore reasonwhywiththeirknowledge andtheirbudgetwhythey
shouldsnatchup thisopportunity.
 Lionsgate is a veryprofitable filmcompany withamassive backcatalogue of successful films
and nowhave a big budgettoaccompanytheirsuccess, howevertheyfocusveryheavilyon
Americanbasedorproducedfilms whichislimitingtheirincome now because alotof the
popularmainstreamfilms are Americananda lotof the well done Britishcrime filmswhere
verysuccessful forexampleGuyRichie’sLock,Stockand Two SmokingBarrelsandSnatch,
Rock n Rolla.LayerCake , Harry Brown justto name a few that inthe last20 yearshave been
reallysuccessful andif Lionsgate where totake onthe Britishcrime genre theycould
potentiallybe verysuccessful.
