LENGTH OF THE LESSON: 40 MINUTES.
CLASS DESCRIPTION: There are twenty-three students in each course (4th
D and
4th
C), all between nine and ten years old. They have English classes once a week,
each class lasts forty minutes. This group of students work actively and they and her
teacher avoid speaking in L1. Their proficiency level is Pre-A1.
SKILLS TO BE EMPHASIZED: Listening, reading, writing and speaking.
LANGUAGE:
- Vocabulary about healthy and unhealthy food as well as eating groups.
- Structure: examples:
● It’s an orange. It’s healthy.
● This is a banana. These are potatoes.
● These are daily products
AIMS:
By the end of this class, students will be able to recognise healthy and unhealthy
food. Also, they will learn the nutritional oval, its organization and eating groups.
VALUES: Children will be aware of the importance of eating healthy food each day.
Also, they will be aware of avoiding eating too much unhealthy food such as fats,
sweets, etc.

EVALUATION: We expect that students comprehend the listening and reading
activities and show that they have learnt and understood how to differentiate healthy
from unhealthy food after learning the nutritional oval and vocabulary expected
through the use of visual aids, gestures and making a wise use of L1 and L2.
