Warm-up
We’re going to start the
class singing:
Clap your hands, stamp
your feet, it’s time to say
Hello, Hello!
“If you are happy”
“Today is Wednesday, how
are you?”
We’re going to show
students flashcards about
the weather. Then we will
write on the board the date
and the weather.
Ts–Ss 5
minutes
Revision We will ask them questions
about the topic studied so
as to teach them a new
structure
Example:
Which food is
healthy/unhealthy?
Can we eat a lot or a few of
sweets?
Can we eat a lot of/some
cereals?
Ts-Ss 5 min
3. Recognition
Speaking practice
We will show them a poster
with the following structure:
“I like...and…”
“I don’t like...or….”
Also, we will explain them
that “and” is used in
positive sentences and “or”
in negative ones.
Then, we will show
students some flashcards
and we will ask them: Do
you like bananas? Do you
like oranges? Do you like
meat?
We will encourage students
to participate expressing
their likes and dislikes. We
will show them a poster as
a guide of how they should
answer to the following
kind of question:
Do you like carrots? Yes, I
do/ No, I don’t

Production
and writing
We will ask them if they
have their books. We will
work on page 41 explaining
the box placed on top of
the page. Then, we will
explain them that the ticks
mean “I like” and the
crosses “I don’t like”. After
that, students have to solve
activity number 4.
Once they have finished,
some volunteers will read
their answers while the
teacher writes the answers
on the board.

4. Consolidation To put into practice the
new topic, we will play a
game in the playground or
the hall using a ball of yarn
with the structures “like and
don’t like”.
Students will sit on the floor
making a circle. They will
listen to a song while the
ball is thrown making a
“spiderweb”. When the
music stops, the child who
is holding it should make a
sentence using like/don’t
like according to the
flashcard the teacher is
showing.
For example: The teacher
shows the flashcard of an
apple and the handmade
like icon. The child will say
“I like apples”.
The game will finish when
the song finishes.
If we have time, we will
assign homework on page
45. Students will draw and
colour their favourite pizza
(we will hand them in a
chart with some ingredients
that a pizza can have) and
the following class they will
show their productions, but
they will not solve the
written part because it will
be solved in class.
We sing the song “See you
later”
Ts-Ss 10 min.
