DATE: Wednesday, October 3rd.
4th C from 16:10 to 16:50,
and 4th D from 16:50 to 17:30.
CLASS: Fourth Grade
LENGTH OF THE LESSON: 40 MINUTES.
CLASS DESCRIPTION: There are twenty-three students in each course (4th D and
4th C), all between nine and ten years old. They have English classes once a week,
each class lasts forty minutes. This group of students work actively and they and her
teacher avoid speaking in L1. Their proficiency level is Pre-A1.
SKILLS TO BE EMPHASIZED: Listening, reading, writing and speaking.
LANGUAGE:
- Vocabulary about healthy and unhealthy food as well as eating groups.
- Structure: examples:
● It’s an orange. It’s healthy.
● This is a banana. These are potatoes.
● These are daily products
AIMS:
By the end of this class, students will be able to recognise healthy and unhealthy
food. Also, they will learn the nutritional oval, its organization and eating groups.
VALUES: Children will be aware of the importance of eating healthy food each day.
Also, they will be aware of avoiding eating too much unhealthy food such as fats,
sweets, etc.
MATERIALS:
● Nutritional oval’s model
● Colorful paper
● Glue
● Pencils
● Board
● Marker
● Flashcards
EVALUATION: We expect that students comprehend the listening and reading
activities and show that they have learnt and understood how to differentiate healthy
from unhealthy food after learning the nutritional oval and vocabulary expected
through the use of visual aids, gestures and making a wise use of L1 and L2.

We’re going to show
students flashcards about
the weather. Then we will
write on the board the date
and the weather.

activate prior knowledge.

CLIL PROJECT WORK:
We will divide children in
six groups and give them
pictures and empty papers
to draw the eating group
assigned. Once they have
finished, they have to stick
its productions and pictures
on the big oval stuck on the
board.

below and ask them to
write what they have done
and then comment it orally
to their partners saying

DATE: Wednesday, October 3rd. 4th C from 16:10 to 16:50, and 4th D from 16:50 to 17:30. CLASS: Fourth Grade LENGTH OF THE LESSON: 40 MINUTES. CLASS DESCRIPTION: There are twenty-three students in each course (4th D and 4th C), all between nine and ten years old. They have English classes once a week, each class lasts forty minutes. This group of students work actively and they and her teacher avoid speaking in L1. Their proficiency level is Pre-A1. SKILLS TO BE EMPHASIZED: Listening, reading, writing and speaking. LANGUAGE: - Vocabulary about healthy and unhealthy food as well as eating groups. - Structure: examples: ● It’s an orange. It’s healthy. ● This is a banana. These are potatoes. ● These are daily products AIMS: By the end of this class, students will be able to recognise healthy and unhealthy food. Also, they will learn the nutritional oval, its organization and eating groups. VALUES: Children will be aware of the importance of eating healthy food each day. Also, they will be aware of avoiding eating too much unhealthy food such as fats, sweets, etc. MATERIALS: ● Nutritional oval’s model ● Colorful paper ● Glue ● Pencils ● Board
  • 2. ● Marker ● Flashcards EVALUATION: We expect that students comprehend the listening and reading activities and show that they have learnt and understood how to differentiate healthy from unhealthy food after learning the nutritional oval and vocabulary expected through the use of visual aids, gestures and making a wise use of L1 and L2.   • 3. Production CLIL PROJECT WORK: We will divide children in six groups and give them pictures and empty papers to draw the eating group assigned. Once they have finished, they have to stick its productions and pictures on the big oval stuck on the board. Ss Ts-Ss 15 min. Writing and speaking Consolidation We will write on the board a model like the one that is below and ask them to write what they have done and then comment it orally to their partners saying something like: Writing: (guided) Our group has fruit and vegetables: ……………..,.................. They give us………….. ………………………. We can eat a lot/ a few of them because they are healthy/unhealthy. We sing the song “See you later” Ts-Ss 15 min.
