2. Costumes-
The costumes that I am going to use within my video are going to be crucial to get certain ideas
across to my audience so that they understand the message of the video itself.
Jack- in the beginning of the video jack is going to be wearing causal clothing that will signify that
he is a normal character that doesn’t have a lot of money. The fact that I am going to make sure that
the audience know that the character is an average man is so that it contrasts his costume to when
he is the dream sequence.
3. This is going to contrast to when jack wakes up in the
dream sequence of the video that relates to the song of
wanting to be a billionaire. The fact that I have chose him
to wear a suit because I believe that this indicates
economic power stereotypically. I think that this will
suggest to the audience that he now has money and is a
billionaire in his dreams. This well help anchor the video
to the lyrics and meaning of the song. I think that the
contrast between the characters clothing will help amplify
this idea. The suit was the best idea that came to mind
because this outfit is closely associated with money and
wealth.
Costumes-

However the other actor that is going to be featured within my video is the character that is going
to be performing as the rapper. I wanted to make sure that I used stereotypical costumes, so that
the audience can easily identify that he is the rapper. This is why I have chosen to use
stereotypical hip hop clothing. The consists of baggy trousers, baggy t-shits, excessive jewellery
etc. I am going to included these conventions in my video. I want be actor to look as much as a
stereotypical hip hop rapper as possible as I believe that this will make my video more
professional as it will emphasis my genre and attract my target audeicne.
5. Actors-
Jack is going to be playing one of my two main protagonists. There are a
few main reasons why I have chosen to use him in my video. My first reason
is the fact that he is into this genre of music so I know that he will be
expressive when it comes to filming. I also believe that he has an
appearance that looks formal and will complement the suit perfect. This will
really allow me to get this idea of the character becoming a billionaire
across to me audience. The fact that he has long hair on top and short sides
will allow be to be able to give him a slick back hairstyle witch is a common
hairstyle for a rich character in a suit. I had a range of actors that could have
done this role however I believe that jack will suit the conventions of my
genre that I want to use perfectly. Another view of this is the fact that I think
he will be able to pick this role up easily which will allow me to have more
time to get my filming how I want it. Using him will also help get my
message across to my audeince.
6. Actors-
Luke is going to be playing my second main protagonists as he us be
going to performing as the rapper in music video. The main reason that
I have chosen Luke to be playing this role is because I think that he will
be able to play this role perfectly. Luke has an interest in hip hop and is
keen in keeping up to date with the hip hop fashion. That’s when I
thought that if he is into this style he will be expressive when it comes
to performing within this genre. Where he is also into lots of different
kinds of rap music ranging from mainstream and grim he will be able
to adapt to this song easily. I think this is going to be crucial because
where he is going to have to play a part that includes lots of lip syncing
to fast beats him being to adapt and learn the words will be beneficial.
This will initially save time, this will allow me to have more time in key
elements like making sure I use a range of different camera shots and
movement. Luke is also a good looking character so I believe this will
work well.
7. Props-
Money- this is going to be one of the props that I am going to be using within my
video. The reason I am going to use a lot of relation to money is because this is
something that is stereotypically related to hip hop/rap music. I think this will help
me attract my target audience. Not only is this the reason the other reason is the fac
that the song itself is called billionaire and my video is going to be about a man with
an average life becoming a billionaire in his dreams so I think the use of money will
emphasise this message and help the narrative flow better.
Christmas hat- this prop isn’t to help the audience discover the genre this is going
to be used purely to anchor a lyric in the song. There is a line in the song saying
‘everyday Christmas’ so I am going to have this thrown in there at this point in the
song. This prop is to emphasis my idea.
Posters- The reason why I am going to be using various posters and cut outs
is to achor lyrics in the song. For example for the line ‘I would have a show
like oprah’ I will have one of my actors hold up a poster of oprah. This is to
emphasis my song idea. This is something that I have included in my idea
because I think that it will make the video more interesting and interactive.
