We have picked this song as we feel it has a good progression of a story being told in the
lyrics. The artist we have picked will fit in with the story ang genre we want to include in
our video, the lyrics are about love and have deeper meaning with gives us an
opportunity to create a symbolic video.
2. Type of video
Looking at music videos our artist has already made he never tends to have
performance videos, so to fit with his identity we will be mainly making a narrative
video. However due to our audience research we may be have a little performance in
it as many of our audience did say they would like to see it.

This will be connoted in
our music video through
characters we use. For
example they will be
young.

To fit with our artist

dressing our characters
in a similar style to the
artist himself.

To make sure our artist has a unique selling point we will make sure they have
a unique style. We have chosen a ‘non mainstream’ song to emphasise them as
unique as people will listen to it and think it sounds different to a regular pop
song so will probably want to listen to more.
Although Mura
Masa isn’t the
singer in the
actual song, he
just makes the
music, we have
still chosen a
similar style to his
to appeal to his
target audience.

Our artist has an edge and a
particular style. He is a 18 year old
mixed raced boy. We have picked
him as he tends to have wear
simplistic clothing but with a slight
edge which is similar to the real
artists.

To appeal to our target audience,
which is 16-24 year olds, we will be
using characters in our music video
which are this age.
We will be using a male artist to
appeal to our target audience.

Due to our target research we have
decided to film in a couple of
different locations as our stats show
that our audience would like to see
an urban setting and a party.
Similar style (alternative clothing and casual) to other Mura Masa
videos which will also appeal to our audience as well. This links with
our artists identity.

Our editing style will be influenced by
What If I Go again in the way they
use lots of quick shots, tilted cameras
and jazzy lights.
