2. Gender- In my music video I plan to include both male and female
representations. I will do this by including male and female actors within my
music video. These actors will fit the age range of 16-25. As well as that I will
include different gender representations by using gender neutral colours
throughout my music video, I will include this when editing my music video.
Also, I will make sure my location is appealing to both male and female so this
could be a shopping center or an office. By including these location it will also
appeal my target socio economic group which is A B. An A B socio economic
group is more upper middle class group, and are mainly in managerial and
professional roles.

Ethnicity- In my music video, I plan to include all ethnicity’s. I
will do this by including actors of different ethnicity’s. As well
as that within my music video, I plan to portray different
ethnicity's through the use of language and slang words. AS the
song I’m using ‘Memory Lane’ there is a few slang words that
can be recognised by Londoners and a Black heritage group.

Age- Within my cast my actors will be either 17-18 this is so the
actors are able to relate to the audience I am targeting which is
between 16-25. By them being more relatable it allows the
audience to be invested in the music video. I will also represent
age through the clothing worn by the cast. I will make sure that
during the flashback segment of my music video, the cast are
wearing clothing that is ideally casual.

Region- The main I will be targeting is urban areas, based in
and around London. Most of my music video will be shot in an
urban settings such as a shopping mall, this is so it can be
relatable towards the younger audience I am targeting. The
shopping mall will be appealing to the socio-economic group A
B as it suggests that the A B group have a lot of disposable
income to spend on shopping. I am also including an office
scene within my music video, this is also to appeal to the socio
economic group A B.

Socio economic- In my music video, I plan to promote my music video
to the A B category. The A B category is middle and upper middle
class, this suggests that for my music video I will need to target a more
managerial role and a high level of professionalism. I will include
category within my music video by when the two friends meet in the
future they will both be successful and rich, I will represent this by
making the actors wear smart clothing such as suits to signify the idea.
I plan to make my music video a rags to riches video and how to
maintain success. As well I will include the A B category by the
locations of my music video, so I will use more professional locations.

Blumler and Kat’z uses and gratifications theory suggests that
media users contribute and have an active role in the media.
Diversion- In my music video, I’ll plan to include certain
aspects to engage the audience and offer escapism. To include
diversion, I will engage the audience straight away by using the
flashbacks as this will differ to conventional music videos and
instantly grab their attentions.

Personal Relationships- I will include personal relationships
within my music video, by allowing my actors to be relatable
and to give the impression they are normal people living
everyday lives. I will also include personal relationships by
including a love triangle so one relationship would be
boyfriend and girlfriend. Another personal relationship would
be best friends which are to be my two main actors.

Personality identity- The personality identity that I would like
to promote is the hardworking and friendship. The
hardworking personality will come from the rags to riches story
where the two friends meet after many years both being
successful and professional. The friendship aspect will appear
from the flashbacks and how they were friends in the past.

Surveillance- In my music video, I will use the idea of the
importance of friendship no matter what to make affect the
audience. This will hopefully spread a positive message and it
will be about friendship is the most important aspect of life and
the audience should appreciate it, and it can cause a reaction to
end arguments with former friends.

12. The Aspirer- In my music video, I would like to target the aspirer. These are
people who are materialistic and aspire to be like character or actors in the
video. The aspirer respond to other peoples view on appearance, personality
and fashion etc. They mainly focus on status. I will attempt to appeal to the
aspirer within my video by making my actors wear nice/expensive clothing. As
well I will make sure that my actors will be approachable/charismatic
personality's making the audience want to be relatable to them. I will do this by
including different actions of the actors to make them appealing towards the
audience. Also, I plan for my video to be a kind of rags to riches story so it will
appeal to the aspirer even further. The aspirer will conform to the socio-
economic group I’m targeting which is A B.

13. The Succeeder- In my music video, I will be targeting the
succeeder, these are people who have self confidence, are very
organised and have a strong goal orientation to be successful.
Their core motivation is control. In my music video, I will
appeal to the succeeder when the two friends meet later on in
life and are both successful and accomplished, this will be
noticeable through the clothing my actors will be wearing
which will be smart, slick clothing this will indicate that both
are hard working and have strong goals.
