Charcoal
• Charcoal is a lightweight, black residue,
consisting of carbon and any remaining ash,
obtained by removing water and other volatile
constituents from animal and vegetation
substances.
• Charcoal is usually produced by slow pyrolysis,
the heating of wood or other substances in
the absence of oxygen .
USES OF CHARCOAL
• Charcoal is used to absorb odors and toxins in gases,
such as air.
• Charcoal filters are also used in some types of gas
masks.
• The medical use of activated charcoal is mainly the
absorption of poisons.
• Activated charcoal is available without a
prescription, so it is used for a variety of health-
related applications.
IMPORTANCE OF CHARCOAL
• Charcoal is important to
determine the age and
chemistry of organic carbon in
surface soils.
• Charcoal is also used is
grilling .
Bamboo
• Bamboo is one of the fastest growing
plant on the earth. It grows approx
250 cm in 24 hours.
• Bamboo is strongest woody plant on
our planet , with a tensile strength
superior to that of mild steel.
• The woody grass known as bamboo is
growing in places like Southeast Asia.
Most commonly, bamboo is found in
places that qualify as tropical, sub-
Uses of bamboo
• The bamboo is used for :-
1] Decorations.
2] Building materials.
3] Fabrics and clothing's.
4] Cooking.
6] Instruments.
7] Wood industry.
8] Paper industry.
9] Bioenergy industry.
Importance of bamboo
• Environment Restoration .
• Bamboo for erosion control ,
windbreaks and noise barriers .
• Water waste treatment .
SPICES
• A spice is a seed, fruit, root, bark, berry, bud or
other vegetable substance primarily used
for flavoring, coloring or preserving food.
• India is the largest producer, consumer and exporter
of spices .
• In India it is mostly found in Kerela . Kerela is largest and
finest producer of spices .
• Different types of spices are grown in different regions.
USES OF SPICES
• Spices are used to add taste and flavor
in our food.
• Spices are sometimes used in medicine ,
religious rituals , cosmetics or perfume
production or as a vegetable.
• Apart from adding color , flavor and
taste, consumption of spices provide
infinite health benefits.
IMPORTANCE OF SPICES
• Production of spices provides a very great
yield to the country.
• Places famous for its spices production
such as Kerela attracts tourist towards it.
• In order to prepare the traditional Indian
curry, the spices like turmeric, fenugreek,
black pepper, red pepper, coriander, clove
and other type of spices.
FRUIT
• The fruit is the sweet and fleshy
product of a tree or other plant that
contains seed and can be eaten as food.
• Fruits account for a substantial
fraction of the
world's agricultural output, and some
have acquired extensive cultural and
symbolic meanings.
USES OF FRUITS
• Fruits benefit your body immensely as
they are natural sources of vitamins
and minerals, which are essential for
the proper functioning of the body.
• The health benefits of fruits guarantee
you optimum health and a well-built body
in the long run.
IMPORTANCE OF FRUITS
• Fruits are sources of many essential
nutrients that are under consumed,
including potassium, dietary fiber,
vitamin C, and folate.
• Diets rich in potassium may help to
maintain healthy blood pressure.
• Most fruits are naturally low in fat,
sodium, and calories. None have
cholesterol.
RUBBER
• Natural rubber, also called
India rubber or caoutchouc, as initially
produced, consists of polymers of the
organic compound isoprene, with minor
impurities of other organic compounds
plus water.
• Rubber trees are grown in regions that
are hot and moist, that is: in Africa
, Central and South America , Asia.
USES OF RUBBER
• Rubber is used to make unlimited products
which are useful and lives long.
• Rubber is used to make balls, and to
waterproof handmade buckets, pails and
more.
• Rubber is as widely used as wood and this is
largely due to its beneficial proprieties like
strength, long lasting, water resistance and
heat resistance all these benefits makes this
material perfect for tire production, in fact a
large percentage of rubber production goes
into the automotive industry.
IMPORTANCE OF RUBBER
• The most important of rubbers benefits
is protecting the earth and the natural
environment around us.
• Reclaimed rubber is also quite a cost
efficient alternative to natural rubber.
• This rubber flooring is not only being
used in residential buildings, but its use
in commercial flooring cannot be
undermined as well.
CONSERVATION OF FOREST
• 1. Regulated and Planned Cutting of
Trees.
• 2. Control over Forest Fire.
• 3. Reforestation and Afforestation.
• 4. Proper utilization of Forest and
Forests Products.
• 5. Role of Government in Forest
Conservation.
• 6. Forest Management.
• 7. Protection of Forests.
CONCLUSION
• Conservation of forest is very necessary for
the survival of our planet Earth . For this we
should follow the steps given below :-
* Teach others about the importance of the
environment and how they can help to save
rainforest.
* Restore damaged ecosystem by planting trees
on land where forest had been cut down.
*Encourage people to live in the way that
doesn’t hurt our environment .
*Establish parks to protect rainforest and
wildlife.
*Support companies that operate in ways
