Following the responses from my previous target audience interviews, I have analysed them to develop and tailor my magazine to suit the audience specifically.

Both intervieweeshave discussedaspectsof theirlifestyle thatfocusonappearance for
example Abbeysaysshe watches‘make-uptutorials’andSophie discussesgetting‘dressedup’
withherfriendsfora nightout.What I needto doin mymagazine isto have structured
sectionsforeachfeature sothat it looksorganisedandprofessionalforthose readers.Some
magazinestendtohave too manycovellines,headlinesandplugsthatdistractfromthe image
makingthe magazine lookheavyandoverbearing.Thiscouldworkforotheraudiences
howeverIfeel myaudience wouldbenefitfrommagazine pagesthatare detailedwith
informationsuchasthe bestpop artistsforthis monthandadvertisementsformake-upina
neatorganisedwayforexample Icouldoutline the plugswiththe same shape foreachplug,
have the textindifferentcoloursforeachsection,make the headlinesclearbyusingalarger
textsize and/ordifferentfont.
Both girlshave alsomentionedhowtheylove tosocialise byeithermentioning ‘goingoutwith
my friends’,theirclubs, andhobbiessuchasdancingwhichisa social activityaswell asAbby
mentionedhowshe has‘apart-time jobinTopshop’whichwouldmostlikelyinvolve herbeing
friendly,smilingandtalkingwithcustomerstopresentTOPSHOP inthe bestpossible light.In
the magazine Iwill make sure to include informationonthe latestpopgigs/festivals,popmusic
loversmeet-upsandtipsonthe bestthingstheycan do withfriendswhilsttheyare atthese
gigs.
Most importantly,bothgirlslove downloadingandlisteningtopopmusic.Theychoose to
spendtheirpocketmoneyandreceive the ‘latesttunes’and‘new music’.Thismeansthatmy
magazine couldhave advertiserssuchas‘Spotify- There are millionsof songsonSpotify.Play
your favourites,discovernewtracks…’and ‘Shazam-Identifythe mediaplayingaroundyou,
explore the musicyoulove.Discoversonglyricsfromyourfavourite artistson Shazam.’This
wayit’ll helpmyaudience todowhattheylove froma reliable trustedsource aswell asit
allowsmyprintpiece tointegrate withdigital media,allowingme touse barcodesforappsand
otherlinkstowebsites expandingmycompany’susage of mediaplatforms.Therefore myprint
piece still remainscurrentinaworldwhere digital mediaishavinganexpandinginfluence.
