2. Initial Plans
My initial thoughts regarding the set brief was to make a music video as I really like the
filming and editing process however this time I would like to only have me in it.
This way I wouldn’t have to worry about people not turning up or having to change my
whole idea because someone can’t make it.
I would like to produce something that has a meaning behind the lyrics and is easy to
edit without having to add to much transitions and effects but will still look good I the
end.
The main reason why I want to do a music video is because I really enjoy the editing
part of it however I don’t think that I’m really good at it but it is something I would
definitely like to improve.

places around my area. This isn’t
really that much of an issue as I don’t
have to make massive changes in my
project

Mainly in the park and on the stairs
as I can’t get ahold of green screens
I won’t be able to get a hold of a camera in college
so I’ll have to use my phone throughout my
production week
6. Moodboard Analysis
• Most of my images are quite brightful
• A repeated colour in my moodboard is pink as it is a colour that is mainly used by females..
• I also added some images from songs that give out a great message
• In those music video’s the fonts that are used look very simple but still put together
• I also added some outfits ideas that I could potentially use as they look simple and not revealing
My Moodboard is full of ideas and music video images that will influence my final product.
I added the signers Ms Banks, Br3nya and Karlaa. This is because most of their
songs have a good message behind them which is something I’m looking for in my project.
I also really like the way Br3nya edited her music video as it doesn’t look like it was too hard to
create but it still looks really good and professional which is something I am aiming towards.
I also added some simple outfits that I could get an idea from as it isn’t to revealing or too extra.
For the location of my shooting I was thinking of doing it in the park around my area. which is why
I added some park images.
7. Research
Music Video - OK OK
JB Scofield’s song is all about his car. This isn’t
something I’m intrested in but his music video is
a good example of the way I would like to edit
my music video as I love the way the transitions
match the beat
The variety of shot types in the music video
is also something I find quite intresting as it
really shows how mush time and effort has
been put into it which is something I am
aiming towards and it keeps the audience
entertained.
8. At some parts of the video reversed
shots and the use of slowmotion are
used. This is something I thought was
really good as it keep the audience
intrested
Furthermore the use of some effects
and transitions are quite original.
This once again shows how much effort
has been put into editing which will
attract a variety of young audience.

9. Sis-Br3nya
The reason why I picked this one for my research
is because the song has a really strong meaning behind it
And a great message as Br3nya is supporting girls and
telling them that they are worth it with or without boys
while trying to express the fact that all girls no matter
their size are worth it and beautiful.
The use of pink lighting throughout the video could emphasise
the fact that it talks about females which also tells us that the
Audience Target is mainly females of all ages
10. Nothing to something-Karlaa
Karlaa is a singer that doesn’t really want
the editing and the video in general to be
Over the top or exagerating.
Unlike some female singers/rappers she
doesn’t dress inapropriatly or extra but likes
To keep it simple but still put together.
This is somehing that I’m really looking for
as the audience is mainly going to be focused
on the lyrics and not the effects/
transitions or the way she dresses.
All of her songs always have a good message
behind it
eg: In this video she talks about her starting
from nothing and until she becomes a singer
She also expresses how all the haters wont be
affecting her anymore as she is only focusing
on achieving her goals and being succesful.
11. Karlaa mainly focuses on the way the
cameras are situated.
This makes it look professional without to
much editing
In her music video there is a lot of
low/high angle shots and also some
knee level shots
This is also one of the reasons why I find
Karlaa very entertainig to watch.
The locations in her music videos are also
simple and easy to access as it just looks like
She’s walking down a road or standing under a brigde
