Rationale:
Throughout the year I have being able to make some good improvements. In the beginning of last
year I didn’t really know how to go about these projects and I wasn’t very good at using
Photoshop, Premier Pro or even a camera but now after being able to practise those skills through
previous projects I was able to get a good understanding surrounding all those editing software’s.
Although I will be producing something I have never actually done before, I do believe that I have
the basic/general skills needed for this final project.
Last year, there was one project that had a similar production process as this one which was the
print project, we were asked to produce a magazine cover and double page. Now that I look back,
I can pick out some things that I can improve on as well as things that I should or should not do for
this project.
Project Concept:
For my project I will be producing a promotional campaign for a music artist’s new album. This
promotional campaign will include 2 posters; 1 for an advertising Billboard and another one will be
a promo poster. The promo poster will be advertised on social media. I will be generating a survey
that will help me chose the most suitable platform for kids/teenagers as my musical artist will be
my 12yr old little sister meaning that the target audience will mainly be 10-14.
This project will mainly require audience research and quite a lot of topic research as this is my
first time producing a promotional campaign. I will be looking at different communication channels
as well as marketing tools that will explain the type of message I will be trying to promote.
I will also be looking at production research as I will have to look at the structure of those two
posters, different types of editing software’s, elements that can make my project stand out and an
appropriate colour scheme mainly for my promo poster as well as think about allocating my
budget.
How will the project be evaluated and reviewed:
After every task I will be self-reflecting on my work. This will help me evaluate myself as I will be
talking about things I could have improved as well as things that were successful which will
eventually help me do better in my next task.
For my final self-reflection I will be comparing my work with an existing product and my last year’s
final print project as well as asking my target audience (my sisters friends) what they think of it .

This way I will be able to see my improvements as well as my mistakes to be able to do better in
the future. I am planning on writing down everything that I thought went well as well as what didn’t
go well or could’ve been better.
