3. RESEARCH
Strengths:
•Linking the individual music videos
themes and characteristics to my
own music video and showing the
themes I want to follow
•The visual picture of each music
video to get a better understanding
of each videos colour pallet
How my research helped me with my
product:
•The golden music video at the points
of 2:13 – 2:45 s something that I
focused on with the fast and cut
montage from different locations but
put in beat.
•Harrys music videos are very
summery which is something I
wanted to follow, however with the
4. RESEARCH
Weakness:
•The artist I chose did not have similar conventions to the
song I chose. Harry is a pop/rock artist and boywithuke
song has a different sound to Harry's song. I would have
either changed the song to fit to m researched artist or
changed my artist to fit the song chosen.
•It made it difficult to follow the techniques I was writing
about in Harrys music video as they weren’t linked to the
song I chose. It had no effect on y product after the final
outcome.
5. PLANNING
Strengths:
•It gave me a clear understanding of what I wanted to do before
production
•helped me plan my time management
•My location planning helped me the most because it helped me figure
out where I needed to be at certain times of of the day as well f what
would be easier to shoot first an last.
•the shot list was more helpful to me than story boarding because it
was a more organised way of visually seeing my music video. It gave
me a list f what I had to shoot and how many times.
6. PLANNING
Weakness:
•In the future I need to spend more time on story boards
and spend more time on making them accurate. I found
them hard to create and envision and found it easier
imagining what shots could one I created the location
slides and shot list. This effected the project by making
it harder to remember which scenes I needed to film
during the time of shooting and made me leave out some
locations shots that I wanted to create.
7. TIME MANAGEMENT
During my editing process I was worried that I wouldn’t
have much time to do the things I wanted. I learned that
I edit quickly and I could have spent a lot more time
getting more content to make my video longer. I had
extra time left that I could have used for filming however
then I would have to edit later out of school. With
additional time I would have been able to edit that
content and therefore make my video as song as the full
track.
8. TECHNICAL QUALITIES -
CAMERA
My aim when filmed my music video was looking at
what the shots looked like cinematographically and not
how each shot linked to on another and telling a story.
I used a tripod when covenant and usually used the handle to move the
shot from right to left, left to right or up to down. When not using a
tripod, I focused on getting a steady shot sometimes resting on an
object. These shot went will with the moving shots when editing them
together. The lighting was either in early morning, late at night or
indoor lighting. I made sure to include lots of orange tone as well as
night tie lighting to associate with autumn. I occasionally liked to get
blurry shots so they would stand out more compared to the ones in
focus.

9. TECHNICAL QUALITIES –
EDITING/POST
when editing the first thing I needed to d was just putting all my
footage available together. Once I did this with the first section of
the song, I wanted to color correct some shots by making some
shots exposure change as well as some shots having more hints
of orange in them. Once finished that I notice some shots looked
shaky on shots where tripod was not used. I did some research
and saw that warb stabilizer makes the shot steadier. I did this
throughout the whole project making the product look cleaner
than before. Finally on some shots I use camera blur effect
instead of filming the shot to start with blurry. If my project was
to a different song and had a different concept in the future, I
would experiment more transitions and visual effects.

10. AESTHETIC QUALITIES
during my panning process I made it clear that I wanted to make it
clear that I wanted to make it autumn themed and they way I
wanted to capture that is by lighting and surrounding the scenery
with leaves. In the video there is also a lot of nighttime footage and
that is because I associate autumn with night as the clocks turn
back making the it darker earlier on in the day. The colors are
themed with lots of orange, brown and green.
It was also wanted to focus my
creativity on more of the types
of shots I was getting instead
of the story it was telling inside
the shots. I did this because we
were given the target not to
have a story line making me
wanting to focus on what it
looked like cinematically. This
made the look of the music
video more visually pleasing
and allow me to have more
11. AUDIENCE APPEAL – 16-
24YRS
I think my final project appeals to the target
audience because I think this age range need
something to escape to when listening to music.
They want freedom and the sense of thrill.
That’s why so many pop, rock and indie music
videos that are aimed at this age range are the
most popular, they are drawn to the feeling of
living. My music video shows a coming-of-age
autumn and the sense of
safety. In autumn months and winter months
more people start feel down as its dark when
the get home from education and they wake up
to darkness as well. They trap themselves
indoors and sit and watch videos and listen to
music to make them feel that summer feeing
again. My music video showing the different
climate change of leaves orange and falling,
bonfire night, getting the log burner going,
hanging out with your friends on every sunny
day and doing out for nights out shows that
doing those things can make you feel that
summer feeing again. I've motioned throughout
13. FEEDBACK 1
What did you like about the product?
I like how aesthetically pleasing the videos and the shots were, how
they were shot cinematographically. It made it more interesting to
watch and made me rewatch it so I could try an see every individual
shot separately.
What improvements could have been made to the
product?
Get more footage instead of repeating footage you had and to make
the video longer.
The clips were fast paste which made it hard to see the shorter clips
14. FEEDBACK 2
What did you like about the product?
I liked how some clips matched up to the lyrics eg. Fire, smile
I like the colour theme and how high quality the camera is
What improvements could have been made to the
product?
The clips were short making it hard to see what every clip was so
slowing down the the beat would help.
wanted to see more instead of repeating the same footage
15. FEEDBACK 3
What did you like about the product?
I liked how it made me feel like I was apart of your autumn and
following a story
The quality of the video
Childhood video that makes me feel nostalgic
What improvements could have been made to the
product?
Not as fast pace and to slow t down so it gives time to process
More footage from different locations
16. PEER FEEDBACK SUMMARY
What do you agree with from your peer feedback?
I understand all peer feedback mainly because I felt similarly about
there critics
What do you disagree with from your peer feedback?
No I think that all was reason alible and I'm happy with
the people that I chose to watch and review my project
17. PEER FEEDBACK SUMMARY
Need to film more footage
Not repeat old footage
Pick a slower song or let the clips go on for longer
God colours
Good quality
Good visual
The changes I would make would be for to film more as my time
management wasn’t very good. I would also pick a different song to
help go with the theme of the song and so clips can go on for longer
