3. RESEARCH
The research I did for my music video is look up multiple
different music video to get ideas of what kind that’s contained
within it
Also what type of camera work they have when doing certain
shots and camera angles to capture the audience attention and
to make the video look more appealing also researched
different fonts to put into my music video at the start to see
which one looks nice I chose the cartoon type one cause it
looked the most appealing on the video
Another thing I researched is location types like which bit would
look good at what point and so I decided a forest tunnel and
scenery (flowers trees house and landscapes) would look nice
so I look at all the different locations I chose the ones closest
and what people could get too easily
4. PLANNING
I did different planning techniques with storyboard mind maps
and writing down the ideas for the music video also talked to
people about some of the ideas I had see what they thought of
it
For the storyboard I drew down the plan/ideas I wanted my
music video to go as and what sections I wanted to play at but I
ended up changing some bit because I didn’t have the time or
resources to do it so I made with that with animation since I
have some familiarity with the software and how to do it from
past activity’s
For the mind map I wrote down all my ideas I had for my music
video into a mindmap on bubbl.us and placed them all around I
chose the one I liked the most and adapted it even further so I
ended up with a story of some sort
5. TIME MANAGEMENT
I’m not good at time management because I end up getting to
focused on one thing and never moving on to the next one then
I end up lacking time to finish it or add more stuff and
sometimes I’ll end up forgetting to take screenshots of my work
and have to take one after I’ve done it and never end up
getting one which is a pain when talking about it
Another thing is that I end up doing more work on top of it hen
falling behind of the new stuff given
6. TECHNICAL QUALITIES -
CAMERA
I ended up using the camera on my phone so the quality downgraded just
a bit because I didn’t reserve a camera when I was doing the planing but
the good thing about using the phone one is that I always have it one me
and I’m able to transfer the clips and resources from it quicker and easily
and still have them accessible if I lose them though different files and also
it’s easier to use then a camera where you have to chose different
settings for different locations and times with the phone it’s just one
default set
7. TECHNICAL QUALITIES –
EDITING/POST
The editing was fairly easy since I do it all the time as a hobby but the
one thing that annoys me because sometimes when shifting to a
different computer it corrupts the file that I need to access because it
cannot find the files within the project file like the clips and images so
then I just ended up using my laptop because it had a updated version
on the software I was using premiere pro/after effect cc/photoshop
I was using both of those because one was more suited for certain
parts of video then the other like for example after effect was more
suited for my animation part because I just cut it down to that part I
wanted and I could change the speed of it to a point I think would look
better and also add bordered to the whole video because sometimes a
border makes the video look better I use cc jaws within after effect to
do that because it simpler/easier also added levels of some clips to
make the brighter and contrast with the rest of the video
8. AESTHETIC QUALITIES
The screenshots on the left are bit from the music I did
like because of the different styles within each shot like
the two at the top transition after each other with a blue
in-between the switch which make it more appealing and
smooth to the audience viewing it.
I also liked the scribble animation to symbolise how the
character is feeling like they don’t matter and it not who
they are, also the way the animation moves is very
appealing to me because its a bit like its easing the
person as well as hiding them from society.
I also like the ending section where it turns into animation
to show more emotion to the music video and to show
how the character feels about everything and to fit in with
the lyric that being used at that current moment in the
video so it all fit in together. I mostly did animation at the
end because I didn’t have anymore ideas for film outside
that would look good otherwise it would have been a bit
repetitive and I don’t think that would make the music
video stand out to people it will get a a tad bit boring.
I also didn’t like where some bit were dark I wish I could
have fit that but I know I wouldn’t be able to because I
film those section early in the morning and at night so I
just went with the ones that were brighter than others
9. AUDIENCE APPEAL
The audience I was trying get at are at the ages of 13-20 because
they relate to most problems they happens now a day and I’ve added
some animation that the audience might enjoy as well as different
colouring to make the audience enjoy and stay focus to the video.
Also added loads of scenery clips that move with the time of the
music track that would catch the audience attention and i think they
might enjoy it

What improvements could have been made to the product?
Longer animation maybe
14. PEER FEEDBACK
SUMMARY
What do you agree with from your peer feedback?
Yes I agree my feedback because my animation scenes were
quite short and I think I should have added more
Another thing I agree with is the transitions need to sort them
out
What do you disagree with from your peer feedback?
No
