The document proposes a police chase game called "Police Pursuit" targeted at male players aged 16-19 in the UK. The game would be free to download and would involve players controlling a police car to catch a robber's car within 90 seconds. Higher scores would unlock new cars and power-ups. The creator plans to research similar games for inspiration, interview people for feedback, and create prototypes to practice pixel art and gameplay. Progress will be evaluated weekly through self-reflection on strengths, weaknesses, and improvements needed.

Working Title:
Police pursue: As the game is about a police chasing the bad guy.
Audience:
My targetaudience is aged between 16-19. the reason is because the game has an action theme
for the 18-19 year olds, but a non violent and slightly light hearted games for the under 18s. the
gender is for males. the reason for this is because males mainly like police chase based subject,
based of need for speed and the profile for police interceptors. The app is free, but i believe that
the app is for BC1/2 and D. The reason i believe that the game is this is because category A may
go for the paid content rather than the free, and Category E may not afford smart phones, so they
may have nothing to access the game with. B to D can still afford phones, but may not want to pay
for content. I don't thing sexuality applies for the game as there is no love interest involved in it.
The psychographic may be the achiever. The reason is because the game is basically based on
getting better and upgrading what you have got.these people will want more power from this game.
For the geographics,i believe its in the south east. Possibly from more than 27 million people living
there and the capital city being located there which may lead there to being a popular audience.
Also, it is mixed with rich and poor too, as London is expensive, but still has its lower class
population, leading there to be a vas majority drawn to my game. if they are young, then they will
have a family ,but mainly the child of parents. the audience will mainly like lifestyle television, This
interest is similar to the game, as the game is based of police chases which are serious and real.
these lifestyle shows are probably escapism, as they are zoning out from their problems. this game
does the same thing byleading you to focus on catching the bad guy. their interaction is looking at
circumstances of others, as they watch these reality lifestyle shows and sees what others have to
deal with.
Rationale (approx. 100 words)
The Photoshop skills I've acquired would firstly be shading 2D pixel arts. This was used in the
irnbru project to make the character look more 8 it. i will use it on the surroundings and the cars, to
make them look more 3D in the side scroll game.ive also acquired my animation skills, with moving
image icons one by one, without resetting it. i will use the skill in this project by provide and many
frames, to stop it from looking laggy and glitchy. Lastly, the audio. With irnbru, i got a midi file and
changed the instruments for it. in this, i will be using my garage band skills (category of
instruments) to create a new song. if it doesn't work out, i will use bleep box to make an 8 bit song.
Project Concept (approx. 200 words)
My game that I'm making is a police chase game. the player is a police car, and has to catch the
robber within 90 seconds. the way the cop catches the speederis by hitting the speeders car to
cause it to spin out of control. the remaining seconds of the game goes into your level points, for
you to level up. level one is 100 points. the points goes up the higher the levels. when you go up a
level, you have opportunities to unlock new cars and nitrous for the current car. in the gameplay,
there are steep hills and obstacles you have to jump over. There is research that i need to do to
help me. firstly, i need to research in similar games to see their theming, targeting, aims and the
sound, to get inspiration. i also need to interview others, to see someone else's perspective on my
game, to see what works and what doesn't. lastly, i need to plan my work.with this, i need to see
what colours that need to be used and a rough sketch up of what my game could look like. i will
also need practice by making a practice game, so i can practice with drawing the pixels.
Evaluation (approx. 50 words)
The way I will be evaluating is by doing a weekly reflection on the process of planning and making
my work. I will state my strengths and weaknesses in production so i can improve in the ongoing
weeks. I will finally do an evaluation at the end analysing my work. this will help me see what
worked and what didn't in my work, helping me for when i do something like this next time.
