• Primary Audience
– Teenage boys, age 9-15 because it is
based on toys that they play with, it is
also quite a childish film. They use
bright colours to make it appealing to

women as it’s a romantic comedy.

communications suggesting that an intended
message is directly received and wholly accepted

the radio I can find out about new music.

• By finding the music on Spotify, Deezer or
Apple music, for example if its an Ed Sheeran
song having an emotional connection to the
song.

• By talking with friends about a specific
musician and the different songs they have
produced, you could listen to them to see if
you would like them.
Uses and Gratifications Entertainment
Escapism, the music can help to get away from
problems at home or take your mind off
homework.
Relaxation, music can clear your head and help
you get on with work without distraction.
Enjoyment, you may also listen to music for the
pure enjoyment of a band or song.

• Example, a remix.
• What are the advantages to media producers?
– It will create publicity and increase views and likeness.

– They can gain subscribers from the remix.
