1. Q6 WHAT HAVE YOU LEARNT ABOUT
TECHNOLOGIES FROM THE
PROCESS OF CONSTRUCTING THIS
PRODUCT?

2. TECHNOLOGIES USED
When creating my final production of my magazine I
used a variety of different technologies which allowed
me to finish my final media product.
To make the production I used:
- Google chrome – in order to access slide share,
blogger and youtube
- Canon EOS 70d
- Soft box lights
- Adobe Photoshop CS6
- Microsoft powerpoint
- Facebook messenager

3. MY CAMERA
 To take my photos I used the Canon EOS 70d. This
was one of the main technologies used to be able to
create my media product. The SD card used within the
camera was 64gb which allowed me to take as many
photos as I needed to find the perfect ones to use.

4. ADOBE PHOTOSHOP CS6
I previously knew the basics of photoshop, having previously
done Media at end of years 10 & 11 at BTEC standards. Using
photoshop once again allowed me to use my knowledge I
already had and I was able to expand by learning different
techniques by playing around with it during my mock ups which
is shown in the next slide. To expand my knowledge I watched
a number of youtube tutorials, in order to achieve the best
outcome for my magazine.

5. Example
Normal Brightness Exposure
This is my original mock up, I played around with Photoshop using the
brightness and exposure tools. By using the brightness allowed me to make
her look brighter and lighten up the page. Similarly using exposure did the
same as this blended her into the background making her look a part of the
cover which I quite liked and may come back to this in the future. I did this to
fix any photographic issues I may have had, as I am not the most experienced
photographer.

6. POWERPOINT & SLIDE
SHARE
 As I had to use blogger to upload all my media
coursework, I felt it would be a good, interactive way to
use powerpoint, combined with slide share to create an
interactive fun way in looking at my coursework.
 Slide share allowed me to upload my powerpoints to its
own website, where I was then able to transfer it onto
blogger by embedding it.

7. INTERNET
 I used the internet to research existing media to gain
ideas for my magazine. Using the internet allowed me
to visit helpful websites such as:
 blogger – which allowed me to upload my work and
make any changes if need be.
 Youtube – allowed me to watch tutorials to gain
knowledge of photoshop, blogger and how to use
specific technologies.
 Facebook messenager – to contact my focus group for
their advice and opinions on my magazine.

8.  In conclusion, the use of different technologies played a
major role in my final production, due to me using it
every lesson in order to complete my product. Without
the use of technology I wouldn’t have been able to
create my product, therefore the outcome resulting as
poor. With the help of the internet I wouldn’t have been
able to create my product up to the level that it is now.
