During the creation of my magazine media product, I have learnt
ten times more about the technology that is needed in
constructing my product.
3. Camera
To be able to create the final piece, I needed a lot of equipment.
Firstly I’d need to be able to capture photographs, to do this I used a
Cannon camera; this made taking images a whole lot easier. The
camera contained a self-focusing setting, making sure every photo
taken was focused and not blurry. I found this completely reliable
and therefore only used this for my work.
4. Programs used
Once I had captured my photos, I needed some way to edit them. I
did this through Photoshop Elements; which is how the majority
of my final product was edited. Using this program I gained skills
in using different tools such as the clone tool, magnetic lasso and
the feathering tool. Photoshop has definitely improved my
confidence in editing and making the photos the best they can be.
For other parts of my magazine I used Publisher, this enabled me
to create a bar code to put on the front cover, and create my brand
logo’s.
During my course work I had to discover a new way in how to get
my planning across, I now have knowledge about prezi and slide
share.
The majority of my product was created on an Apple Mac, and the
rest was finished on myToshiba laptop.
5. Social media
Different social media’s were used to gain audience feed back,
such as Facebook andTwitter. This helped me know whether the
audience were interested in my magazine, as a customer would
be, in theory.
