1. Anything used over a computer
like a computer system is
considered as computer
softwarethis may consist of
figures or computer directions.
Howeverhardware is
considered as a physical part of
a computer like a keyboard or
graphic card, howeverto
create my project I’ve used a
lot more complicated objects.
Something else I’ve used to
enhance my project are online
programs for example slide
share or blogger whichwere
the most common programs I
used, without these programs
it would’ve been impossible to
create my film. It’s highly
important to use all these
editing and online programs
because they enhance your
film as wellas complimenting
one another. Some things you
can’t do without involving
other programs forexample,
you need to use slide share in
order to post on blogger,
therefor its very essential.
During my preliminary tasks I
was introduced to many
software’s that allowed me to
have such a certifiedlooking
film in the end. I first began by
using powtoonto create a
different type of way to
introduce any of my ideas,
since I wanted my blog to
stand out and not lookboring I
tried using powtoon,whichis
more interesting and less
boring than a typical
PowerPoint.

Another softwareI’ve used forthe same
reason is Preziwhichwasn’t the first
time I’veused it howeverI used it more
professionally for this project, I did this
by using different fonts and styles to
make it more complicated and help
develop my talents. Also to create my
kulshov effectpost I used IMovie,
because I still wasn’t very familiar with
premier. Using IMoviehelped me edit
my film because I used cut and different
type of transitions in order to make
things look more seamless, furthermore
I used the titles that IMovie offerswhich
were very easy to use. Further more I
began using premier which enhanced
and developed my editing skills widely,I
began to become more aware of
different tools and features that premier
offers,for example I learnt how to cut
any footage that I don’t like using the
razor tool also I used the stabilizing
feature which allowedme to have better
looking footage. The stabilization on
premier helped enhance my film, made it
lookmore aesthetically pleasing. I’ve
learnt a lot of techniques during this
project like after effects,whichwas
harder to use than premier however I
need to use it forkinetic typography.
In my preliminary task I
was introduced to Nikon
D300, that’s the camera I
was using in order to film
my shots. I didn’t use the
camera on its own I used
a tripod in order to allow
the camera to rest on it
and be stable. The first
thing I learnt was how to
turn that camera into
video mode, which was
done by turning it live
then clickingon the
record button.
Furthermore in order to
make a few of the other
preliminary tasks like the
lighting pre-lim, I learnt
how to use high/low key
lighting using the LED
lights. In order to make
my final production I
used the Nikon D300 to
film on the Tripod,
howeverin order to
make my voiceoverI
experimented witha few
microphones in order to
get the best sound. I tried
using the zoomsound
recorder with a shotgun
microphone howeverit
recorded the background
noises therefor I tried
using a radio microphone
whichworked best, it
cancelled out the
background noise and
the sound was very clear
whichis exactly what I
was looking for.
The first time I used
blogger I honestly had no
idea how to even name my
blog, I was so confused
about what I was doing but
throughout the project
with every post I became
more familiar with whatI
was doing. Some of the
pros of Blogger is that its
easy to look at and see
howeveruploading things
onto Blogger was probably
the worst thing about it,
because I have a MacBookI
had to upload anything
that I wanted posted onto
slide share then fromthere
copy the link then embed it
into blogger whichtook
quite some time whenever
I was in a hurry to post
something for a deadline,
this was such a hassle. And
slide share was blocked
from my schools Wi-Fi
therefor I had to send my
workto a guy in my class
whohad to do all this for
me, youcan only imagine
how he felt whenever we
had to hand in anything.
Also in order to post a
video I had to post it into
YouTubefirst then embed
my link onto blogger, so
blogger wasn’t really the
easiest website to use.
In conclusion it was very
important forme to use
different technologies
because I wouldn’t have been
able to have an overall
professional production if I
wasn’t able to integrate the
use of different things. been
able to edit my footage For
example I wouldn’t have if I
directly had to upload it from
the camera onto blogger, this
would’velooked very
unprofessional. The ability to
use different programs
allowed me to cut through
scenes that were
unnecessary to me, for
example I had a scene, which
included some bloopers like
the actor laughing. So I used
premier in order to cut that
scene out of my film. A film
called action henry, which
was a point of view film that
used the same type of
camera as mine, whichwas a
Nikon D300.
