Reflecting back onto the purposes I have justified atthe startof each analysis,as to why I have
implemented a research of my chosen genre (psychological horror).
I have identified the key conventions of and how the technical elements (mise-en scene,
camerawork, sound, editing) are typically used to produce an effective form:
 a filmtrailer
 2 filmposters
 2 filmmagazine covers
and the key conventions of a horror genre and how the technical elements (camerawork, mise-en
scene, sound, iconography and editing) areapplied and used to each form of media platform to
create a successful piecein order to appeal to a target audienceby creatingthe desired effect
(thrillingeffect).
THIS WILL HELP ME IN MY PRODUCTION WORK STAGE…
 I know what to incorporateinto my filmtrailer,my magazinecover and my filmposter in order to make itan effective form of
advertisement, knowing the key conventions of each form, will help me to produce successful products thatwill communicatethe
messages I want to my target audience.
 The information gathered for both form and genre will guideme into knowing how to use technical elements to create a thrilling
effect and attractand appeal to my audience.
 Knowing how to apply conventions from this research,onto my products will help me to produce a successful productthatmeet
the wants and needs of my potential target audience,and attractthem into watchingmy film.
