The document describes how the author learned from audience feedback in developing a trailer and poster. During the research phase, the author created polls to ask the target audience about music preferences. This helped inform choices for the trailer. 2. • During the research section my target audience were
involved which helped me make clear choices and
decisions about what I am going to include in my
trailer and poster. The first section on Fronter that
my target audience got involved with my ideas was
in the research section.

3. • Here I was able to create a poll vote and ask them
questions such as what non diagetic background
music they would prefer in a trailer of a thriller
genre. I was then able to see the percentage of
people that agreed with the options in the closed
questions so therefore when planning my ideas I
kept this into consideration in order to successfully
meet their needs.

4. • I wanted to take this further to see if my target audience
actually agreed with our ideas as a group, therefore we
wanted to interview two people from the age group that we
were looking to target our trailer, poster and magazine
towards which would allow us to ask open questions to see
how they would really feel personally about how we would
like to go about creating the trailer. Interviewing two girls
allowed all 5 of us to have a group discussion about things
they would like to see in a thriller trailer created by us.
When we asked them about soundtracks, they were able to
express their opinion more because they didn’t have to vote
online.

5. • From this we noted down that both the girls agreed
that having successful chart music behind the trailer
will instantly grasp the audience’s attention because
it is something that they would be familiar too or
that some people will know the lyrics to. Here I
learnt that this would be the most logical thing to
include in our trailer, therefore my target audience
helped influence a big decision that affects the mood
and atmosphere of the trailer.
