‘Kids in the street’ released worldwide on the
26th March 2012 is ‘The All-American Rejects’
latest album to promote themselves in the
industry. Three months prior to the album being
released a music video was produced for the
opening song ‘someday’s gone’ as a ‘sneak
peak’. A tour was also announced to begin just
weeks after it hit the shop shelves. When
Publicity began to die down another music
video was produced for the song ‘beekeepersdaughter’ to support the album. Whilst this has
not been stated anywhere the band are
promoting the clothing brand they are wearing
on stage during concerts. Merchandise to
support and promote the album/tour is also
sold during concerts- this ranges from T-Shirts
to Posters; you are also able to purchase it on
their website prior to the concert. The band
themselves were also promoting the album
through web 2.0.

being made from any publicity events they
attend or TV/Press interviews they carry out,
such as there interview with Fuse News in
October 2012 about the album/tour, the
majority is made from any current albums and
all the promotions that go with it. Since the
sneak peak music video and album were a
success a tour to support it was announced;
they knew that since it had been such a big
success they could gain a bigger income by
further promotion of the album. Posters, TShirts and bags were produced-again for further
promotion and for money- 90% of people will
buy merchandise to ‘remember’ the concert, so
this is an easy was to make money. The All
American Rejects also have an official website
that showcases music videos, tour dates and
news; whilst it is free to use, there is a store on
the website that allows you to buy any
merchandise. One particular area of the store is
dedicated to products that support their tour;
there making money by allowing fans to
purchase promotional products prior to the
actual tour.
This refers to were products and merchandise
produced by the band can be sought from. For
example there music is available to download
and buy online- websites such as iTunes- and in
store- shops such as HMV. Various
supermarkets sell posters whilst there online
store sells all merchandise that supports them.

Synergy
Producers strategies
Synergy is when two companies work together.
Whilst The All American Rejects have never
appeared in a movie or advert there music has
been used- two examples of this is in a Ford
Advert and on Cartoon Network. It has also
been used in various films such as ‘She’s The
Man’, ‘The Hitcher’ and ‘One Tree Hill’.
The producer’s strategy is to make as much
money as they possibly can from the band. This
is done by producing albums, music videos and
songs along with all the promotional methods
to support the albums and gain further success.
They need to make sure the band stays ‘well
known’ even after an album has been released
and publicity has died down.
