2. Name of artist
This is one of the main features of an advert for a digipak, most
times it is the main text which stands out on the page and it is used
to catch the attention of audiences and also promote the
digipak.
3. Album single/name
This is very useful to have on an advert so that the audience are
aware of what the album is called. It could also be used to show
what the genre of the album is and in turn this could also appeal
to new audiences.
4. Release date
Most times the release date is on the advert, but if the album is
already out the phrase ‘out now’ will be written on it. It allows
them to know when they can purchase the album. It also gives a
personal touch and encourages fans and new listeners to buy it.
5. Review/Rating
These are very common on the adverts for digipaks and they are
used to encourage people to purchase an album with good
ratings and reviews. This isn't common with all genres mostly with
pop albums. Most of the times the reviews are positive.
6. Where to buy…..
There are different retailers for the sale of music for example HMV
are known for selling different forms of media. They made £1,956.7
million (2009)and it was mostly from the sale of music, a lot of
adverts include HMV’s logo on them.
7. Tour dates
This isn't included on the poster all the time but sometimes it can
be used to promote an album mostly if it is based on a specific
album and it helps promote the album and let the real fans know
when the artist is on tour.
8. Artist and label websites
This is usually too bold on the advert but it is visible and it is just
another way to pass information across to fans.
