3. In this first process of my experiment I wanted to make the
background before anything else. I find that making the background
first makes it easier as you can start to figure out the size of any
moving objects. To make the back ground I used the pencil tool to
create the ground and the sky. To show that the floor will be
moving I decided to draw lines on the floor to show a tiled floor
effect. I also used the pencil tool to create the trees, clouds and
house. This made a scene that the character could move to. Finally I
used a gradient effect to make it fade darker on one side.

• What elements of your experiments will you
include in your final product?
– In my final product I will start by making the
background first as I thought this helped me to
make moving parts easier and quicker.
– I might also use the gradient tool if I want it to
darker in a specific place so that the fade is
smoother.
5. Process
In this stage of the process of this experiment I was using the time line tool and
other tools. In the bottom right hand corner you can see that I have started to
use layers, this makes it easier to edit into a video as every thing that I might nee
dot move is in its own layer to I can move it into a different size or location than
other items, for example moving the eyes on the sun. On the timeline I decided
to use lots of frames as this made it look a lot smoother. At the bottom of the
timeline there is a selection with a ball going across, this is the tween tool. This
allowed me to use the long image from the first slide, have the image move from
left to right with however many slides I want. This is a quick process. Finally I
found that testing the video helps to see if you have gone wrong at all.

• What elements of your experiments will you
include in your final product?
– From this process I will also want to keep the
layering part as made it easier to locate each
moving part.
– I will also maybe use the tween tool to move and
item from one location to another smoothly.
8. Process
The first step of making my audio was getting the sound of the car. I used
the website beepbox.com as it is easy to use and I was able to have a
range of sound effects and instruments to make an increasing rumbling
sound for the car. I wanted to make this first so that I know what kind of
song to make. For example if it is a heavy sounding car I would use a rock
genre of song while if it was a quiet car I would make a classical genre
song. I made the car loud and a little electric so that it sounded like a
sports car. I found that making this sound first was helpful.

• What elements of your experiments will you
include in your final product?
– In my final product I will most likely use this
website as it allowed me to easily make a sound
effect. I could use this for footsteps, doors, gun
shots.
10. Process
For the next stage of my audio experiment I wanted to start making the
music that was going to be in the background of the game. For this I
decided to use garage band. I used this app as it is easy to use and I have
previous history of using it. Garage band has lots of instrument to use
and lots of pre made MIDI loops. By using this I was able to also play in
my own MIDI which gave it an extra touch that I wasn’t able to get from
any of the loops. I found that making the audio on garage band Is better
than making it on Beep Box as I was able to have more free range with it.
Finally garage band allowed me to stack loops so that the audio can build
up as it goes on.

• What elements of your experiments will you
include in your final product?
– When making my music for my final product I will
want to use garage band and explore it more. This
will let me use Pre made MIDI loops and play
music in myself to make a professional and
realistic soundtrack for the game.
12. Process
The final stage of my process was adding everything that I have made in the
previous steps into Premier Pro. I could have used apps such as iMovie or Cute
Cut Pro, but I decided to use Premier Pro as I am more accustomed to it. Premier
also allows me to easily stack each clip together and is also clearly laid out. I also
find that it has lots of transitions that I can use later on in the final product. I was
able to easily speed up both the audio and the visual tracks. This was helpful as I
found the footage a little slow and needed to increase all the speed to the
project. Finally when reviewing the experiment I noticed that the car was a little
fuzzy as when I enlarged it I imported the car from google and it had to have the
size changed. To that made the car stand out in a negative way compared to
everything also in the project.
13. Reflection
• What elements of your experiments will you
include in your final product?
– When making my final product I will be using
Premier Pro as It was easy to use and allowed me
to make it smoothly. I was also able to edit the
speed and sound to perfection.
– I will also make sure not to lower the size of any of
my items as they will go fuzzy when I increase the
canvas size at the end of the project.
