EPANDING THE CONTENT OF AN OUTLINE using notes.pptx
Q6 (1)
1. Q6
What have you learnt
about technologies from
the process of
constructing this product?
2. HOW DID YOU USE THE BLOG TO
WORK COLLABORATIVELY?
We used the blog in order to keep all of our
work together and track our group and
individual progress from the start to end of
this media project.
We all had the ability to post onto the blog,
and we used it to show things such as our
editing progress, call sheets and risk
assessments for shoots, research tasks and
feedback from exhibiting our product at
different stages of production.
We also used other programmes, such as
Survey Monkey for audience research, Prezi
in order to design our pitch and YouTube
in order to post various videos related to
We were all
authors of the
blog allowing us
to all post
content.

4. HOW DID YOU ACTUALLY FILM
YOUR WORK?
The equipment we used for filming our product
was; A Nikon D5200 DSLR, A tripod and the
track for one of our shoots.
We did face some issues/limitations whilst
filming. We filmed in an external location, it
was very muddy so this created a slip hazard so
we had to take care whilst filming. We could
also not film when it rained as this would affect
continuity and could damage equipment. We
also wanted to film in evening light, not broad
daylight, but not night-time and in the winter
this was a very short period of time which
limited how much filming we could do in one
shoot.
For some of the shots, we had to colour grade
5. HOW DID YOU EDIT YOUR PIECE?
Our editing software was Adobe Premier elements. This contains many tools
and features which we used to help make our piece as professional as
possible.
We used the cutting tool to cut down our raw footage to make the product
the desirable length. We also used this to create the flickering affect between
two parallel lines of action.
Some of the effects we used were created in Adobe after effects, such as the
dark and light contrasting lighting in the first shot of the girls feet.
We used the sound mixer to adjust our sound to the appropriate level, such
as the White noise as we wanted it to have an effect but we didn’t want it too
loud.
For our titles, we created them in Premier and selected the font we liked the
most from the fonts available. We also used the ‘Fade’ tool as we thought it
made the titles more dramatic.
