1. what is yourFMP idea? For my FMP I am thinkingof makinga music video where
I use movementstocreate a song. This will havestory to
it, the movementswill haveFoley thatI create to have
the soundscrisper. All the characters will be playedby
myself andoverlaid together to makeit look like multiple
versionsof me movingto make music. Throughoutthe
video, the characters will usedifferent objects to make a
beat/soundwhich will make a different style of a song
where each songfollows a storylineof whatcould be
happeningaroundthem.
Why have youdecided to makeit? I wanted tomake this for multiple reasons. Firstly, from
pasttopics I havefound outthatI really enjoyedmaking
a music video. With my past musicbackground, I also
feel that I can makea songmyself in a uniqueway. I find
thathaving all the characters as myself, it will be more
impressiveand will be easier as I won’tneed to rely on
anyone. Finally, I havedecided on this as I will be able to
use effects and techniquessuchas creating Foley and
usinga greenscreen where I will adda moving
background. By filming inside, I can make it look like it
outsideand havelighting set to exactly how I want it.
What aboutyourproject makesit
importanttoyou?
One of the mostimportantthingsaboutthe project to
me is that it is correctly tailored to the audience. This
will allow them toenjoy it more and be more interested.
This also tells me that I havebeen successful to aim it at
them. The other thing thatmakesIt important to me is
thatwith thisidea I amable to usethings suchas green
screening, multiple versionsof myself andcreating my
own Foley. I think it’s importantto me as creating a
music videolike thisis interestingto me and it allows me
to explore new skills. SomethingthatI want my project
to be his focused onthe post-productionside. Thisis
why I amwanting to use greenscreen and havean effect,
suchas rotoscoping.

youridea/work and somepotential
research targets (remember, research isn’t

For thisproject I havehad a few thingsthat I have
lookedat for research. Firstly, the youtuber/musicartist
Rudy Mancusohasmade a couple of videossimilar to
what I am wantingto make. This has led to the
inspirationto what I will make. For other research I have
lookedat videoson YouTubewhich shows tutorialsto
how to makea clean green screen effect. This allows me
to makeme moreprepared for editing it all together. I
have alsowatched videos of how to adda movie video
as the backgroundofthe music video, some editing
techniquesand I havewatched some abouthow to
make realistic Foley. Inmy pastprojects I have already
dedicated sometime tocreating Foley which I believe
gives me a goodbackgroundtohelp me. During my time
in high schoolstudyingmusictechnology, I made a few
songsof my ownwhich hasinspired me to create my

2. own song/coverof a songthatI can use in this music
video/shortfilm.
What effect do youwant to haveon your
audience when they see yourproject?
I want the audience to havemultiple feelings while
watching my music video. Firstly, I want them to be
interested. Thiswill meanthat I havesuccessfully
targeted to my audience. The is importantas thatwill
make I more popular. Next, I would want them tobe
impressed. Inmy videoI am wanting to usetechniques
which might be difficult to do. For example, I amwanting
to use a greenscreen which can be hardto do perfectly. I
will also have different versionsof myself onthe screen
at the same time. This will also be impressinghopefully
as this is more uniqueandthe audience won’thaveseen
somethinglike this. Finally, I wouldwant the audience to
think a sense of wonder. This will hopefully inspire them
to create a similar idea or create an original Idea.
Describe the tone/mood/styleofyour
project [which production
techniques/characteristics are you
employing?]
The tone andmoodof my video will change throughout
the video. This will be shownby the music genre being
played. The moodwill also follow with the storyline and
what is happeningin the scene. The characters will have
facial and body expressionswhich will also back upthe
mood. Finally, I will have the videoset up in a realistic
style, for example the equipment/items the characters
will have suchas a walking stick or a bag of crisps.
Why have youdecided to makeyour
project in thisstyle?
I havedecided tomake it in thisstyle as I believe that
this will be more appealing tothe audience andI also
believe thatit will be more interesting toa bigger
audience range. Finally, this style will be a creative and
challenging was to create a music video. I find it to be
more uniqueand interesting.
