13 to 16, the Future Leaders Eco-Camp
offer a unique opportunity for young
individuals from remote communities to

Held during school holidays in April and
December, our camps serve as catalysts
for growth and inspiration.
Through a blend of immersive outdoor

Intern Programme
The overarching goal of our intern program is to cultivate dedicated, enthusiastic, and proficient Community Development Practitioners,
leveraging the practical experience acquired through a comprehensive and interactive internship initiative.
STRUCTURE
There is a specific need for community
development professionals in rural South
Africa.
The aim of this programme is to develop
local young people who have the passion
for community work, equipping them with
skills and practical work experience.
Angels support the funder of the
programme with recruitment and
selection and HR Management (payroll,
processes, devices).
WORKPLACE EXPERIENCE
Interns are generally placed
at sites / offices of the
funder.
Angels support the funder
with integrating the interns
into the (temporary)
workplace to ensure a
valuable and impactful work
experience.
MENTORING & TRAINING
A professional mentor is
assigned to work with each
intern privately and in a group
setting. The purpose is to
assist them to develop a
variety of soft skills and give
them a safe platform to engage
around emotional, financial and
other topics that perhaps
impact their mental health and
as such, their development
journey towards becoming
exceptional community
development practitioners.

23. Angels Bursary
Management
The overarching goal of our Bursary management and Support service is to provide equal educational opportunities for rural youth,
who often lack resources and face challenges in navigating urban life, ensuring they receive the support they need to succeed.
STUDENT ANGEL
Each student will have a dedicated
easily accessible and
assist with:
- Welcoming them on arrival if
guardians are unable to accompany
- Providing ongoing support
like WhatsApp or in-person
their adjustment to student life.
- Directing them to mentors,
other necessary support.
- Serving as a guardian figure as
navigate their new environment.
- Encouraging and facilitating
between the student and their
home.
FUND MANAGEMENT
We uphold rigorous standards
in fund management and
governance.
All funds are securely held
in a managed account with
stringent payment protocols
in place.
Our commitment encompasses
timely disbursement of funds
for tuition fees, living
expenses, accommodations,
academic materials, and other
essentials as agreed upon
between the student and the
funding entity.
GOVERNANCE
We are a registered Non-Profit
Organization (NPO) with Public
Benefit Organization (PBO)
status. Our constitution
accommodate bursary management
programs.
We ensure transparency and
fairness in all processes
through the oversight of
reputable legal experts. Hey

managing the Bursary contracts,
uphold the highest standards of
integrity, guaranteeing that
terms and processes are
equitable and transparent for
all stakeholders.

This service is ideal for:
- newly established IPPs (from construction phase)
- IPPs in a transition period w.r.t. establishing their internal ED team
- Interim support during the absence of key ED team members
- IPPs who do not want to employ full time ED personnel (Permanent EDO services)
Advantages of an EDO service
- Access to the collective expertise of a dedicated team of Angels, to support or extend
your current ED team.
- Where a permanent outsource service is preferred, our commitment is to fostering
local talent by employing, empowering, and upskilling members of the community
within the IPPs’ catchment area, to join the Angels EDO team.
