The document describes Alex Graham's experiments with editing an image to create a unique front cover design. First, Alex used text tools to add a title with contrasting font against a pale red background. Next, various filters were applied to the red background, including motion blur, smart blur, radial blur, and surface blur to make the image distinctive rather than plain. Finally, hue, saturation, and lightness adjustments were made to the artist's face. For the final product, Alex will include all the filter and blur techniques to achieve a simple yet vibrant and eye-catching style.
2. Process
This is the image I started with. Firstly I used the text tool first to
design my Title. It took me some time to find the right font. When I
found the right one I tried to make it contrast with the pale red
background.
3. The next step was to edit the red background by using the filter section
and experimented with a lot individual filters. I tried to create a
different and unique front cover look, rather than keeping the image
plain and ordinary.
Here we can see the filter effects I used to get the final image. They were motion blur
,smart blur , radial blur, and surface blur. I also used the filter section and
experimented with a lot individual filters. I tried to create a different and unique front
cover look, rather than keeping the image plain and ordinary. Finally one of the last
things I used was Hue saturation where I changed the lightness of the artists face as
well as the saturation.
4. Reflection
โข What elements of your experiments will you include
in your final product?
This is the final look for my front cover and is most attractive style I feel for my vinyl
cover it contains simplicity but is vibrant and eye catching .in my final product I will
include all the same variations of filters and blur techniques. I will also try and add a
good style of font that will go with my vinyl.
