feelings she encounters.
One of the changes in Satsuki s life that causes a lot of stress is that her mother is in the hospital

Satsuki decides to ignore the stress that comes with her family s situation and keep herself
preoccupied. She tries multitudes of things to ignore her feelings and they all seem to work
temporarily. One of the methods she uses to preoccupy herself is helping her dad out. She knows that
her dad has a good deal of things on his mind since her mother is not there to help him, so she
willingly decides to cook lunch for the family. She knows this is something simple that she can do that

Takashi Murakami, a contemporary artist best known for his monumental movement, Superflat .
Murakami is a Japanese artist who was born and raised in Saitama, just north of Tokyo, on February 1,
1962. He studied Nihonga, a traditional Japanese painting method thousands of years old, at the Tokyo
National University of Fine Arts and Music, where he received his Bachelor of Fine Arts degree in
1986. He continued his education until he received his Ph.D in 1993, becoming the first to achieve this
in this department. Although traditionally trained, his artwork incorporates a wide and diverse use of

But what is superflat ? Murakami describes the term loosely to keep it diverse, but he describes it as a
